That's an official statement from Verizon but only time will tell what's really going to happen, if need be I will migrate to Sprint and enjoy unlimted data even though it will be slow.

So, I've read that Verizon released an official statement about the data plans, if you buy the phone for full retail price you can keep unlimited data via new york times. http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/201 2/05/17/verizon-clarifies-shared-data-plans/

I'm wondering if we will be able to keep the unlimited data plan if buy our next device at full retail price and NOT utilize the upgrade provided by Verizon. I'm really NOT trying to migrate to sprint because the 3G speeds that they currently have are slow based of me trying one out at the Sprint store.
