Battery Life
Dec 20, 2012, 2:06 AM
in the HTC Droid DNA forum

 That little emoticon about sums up how I feel about the battery life of this phone. It basically sucks. Five hours if you're lucky with normal use. Which for me is two gmail accounts set to push. Bout 50 or so texts. Moderate web/social network usage 10 minutes for ever hour(isn't that average?) Coulda used a few hundred more mah's in the trunk. I'll probably be returning this phone. This phone is perfect Otherwise. Anyone else feel my ...

I can deal with not having a card slot. Only because I don't watch movies on my phone and I stream all my music with Google play. What else would you need more than 16 Gb for really? It's clear that the carriers and manufacturers are trying to persuade ppl to STREAM. Use Google play for your music and if u wanna watch a movie is Netflix or something similar. All on that quick Verizon LTE. I understand it's ...

Let's bow our heads.....and pray that Nokia & the carrier, show more support for this handset if any errors may arise with the firmware and/or hardware. Also let's hope that any carriers that pickup this phone do not assimilate(for u trekkies) the OS. Let's hope that this is a durable, solidly built phone that will last any length of contract extension I may sign with my carrier to acquire it at a decent price. As a sidenote let's hope ...

I've read a couple of sources that say the Bold is having software and overheating issues. I almost went out and got an Iphone cause I couldn't wait any longer( I'm still rocking an E62!) My mind is set on the E71 now.

I had thought about rolling with the E71 as an upgrade to my E62. But the Bold is strong competitor. I like the bigger screen too, although i think the E71 will display more colors. Besides the screen and phone size there isn't much of a difference. I think the Bold has better quality speakers

dual memory cards?
Mar 9, 2008, 11:16 PM
in the Sony Ericsson K850 forum

Not dual memory cards, but a dual memory card slot. Here's an excerpt from the hands on review of the K850. Lastly, it is worth pointing out the card reader on the K850. This is the company's first phone to support standard microSD memory cards in addition to Sony's M2 format. A single slot is compatible with both types of cards, which is novel for a phone. The card slot is found on the bottom of the phone, and ...

Opera Mobile is a different program from Opera Mini. Opera mobile does not ask for permission to use your network. In Opera Mini there is no option to disable that screen.

Lost Phone Lock Code
Dec 17, 2007, 1:11 AM
in the Sony Ericsson W580 / S500 forum

Okay, okay, so I trusted someone with setting up an additional line on my account. Of course they weren't responsible with the phone so I "repo'd" it. They decided it would be fun to attempt to brick my phone, by changing the unlock code. Not the PIN code, but the unlock code. Is there anyway to recover???

And to think I used to work for Cingular.... Scenario, I want to setup new ATT service and purchase an Iphone. I purchase the phone at full retail price therefore I own it. Even though I have agreed to a two-year contract i have thirty days to change my mind. I call anc cancel on day 22. I have no contractual obligation and I own my phone. You can do this with any phone DUH!!

Re: ummm....

even with having to pay full retail, you still have to sign a two year "agreement" it's right on the website. no vaseline, no reach around.

Re: ummm....
Jun 24, 2007, 8:35 AM

that will work only if you don't return the phone you would still be under a new two year contract. I believe a lot of people ar e going to shell out the bucks to get one, swap the sims back to their old phones and put the Iphone on Ebay. Especially those who already have the service. Shoot I've had Cingular for almost 10 years now with no plans on moving, so what's another two year agreement.

Re: IPhone Questions
Jun 24, 2007, 7:54 AM

I beliueve the Iphone will support multiple email accounts. Not 100% And Cingular gives you thirty days to return any equipment that yyou're not satisfied with without getting the $175 term fee. You may be charged a restocking fee from $25-50 but usually only when you don't return something that was in the box originally.

DOn't get me wrong, I'm not an Iphone hater, but the price and the demand are strictly for the wow/cool factor. Besides most people who want one aren't gonna be able to get one anyway. You have to be eligible for an upgrade or new service. bet you a dime to a dollar that the price will be down around christmas

It all depends on what style of BT headset you have some are able to support music and some aren't. The sound quality sucks though.

Why not? You only live once. I'll give it three months to get the bugs worked out. You know, listen to everyone complain about how the battery isn't all that great and how they're on their third one cause the touchscreen went out. The signal is patchy, and they need to sell it unlocked...blah blah blah. Three months w/ no MAJOR problems, like slowness, constant restarts, total shutdown, screen cracks, pixel problems...I'm getting one! I might just dive deep ...

Cingular is defininetly easier on the tongue. They should keep the Cingular name add "part of the AT&T family". Money saved on branding=money invested in fewer fewer dropped calls.
