Not just no, HELL NO!By me giving up my paper bill, I feel that I am directly contribuing to their profitability as this is a cost that they will not have anymore.  What do I get out of this deal - Better service?  No.  Fewer dropped calls due to network improvements?  Don't think so.  How about more dividends to stockholders?  Yeah, that's the ticket! They have tried ever trick in the book to pump up revenue - charging people extra ...

Could this signal the impending arrival of the iPhone for VZ...

and they are trying to keep what's happening with AT&T from happening to them? With VZ's customer base and their woody for this phone, clogging of even their vaunted system would happen with the current $30 unlimited data plan. Getting rid of the plan (or at least pricing it so that it would be unattractive or unaffordable to most) would certainly curtail data usage.

It woud never work - it makes sense! Plus, how would they continue to fleece the masses? Make everybody pay for the misdeeds of a few!

Oldphone, we are on the same page! While I've had more dropped calls than you, a switch to another carrier is not advantageous to me. I looked at going to VZ, but where I live, VZ was late to the game as my local market was dominated by AT&T and a smaller regional carrier (Cellular South). I know few people who are on VZ, so I would lose the free mobile-to-mobile calls that I currently have ...

I have really liked the Android phones I've played with at Verizon and Cellular South, but I'm an AT&T customer. As much as I like Apple (I own 3 different iPods) and as impressive as the iPhone is, I wanted something different than my wife. Now I will have a choice.

Payurbill, T-Mobile does operate in my area (Mississippi), but their system map is pretty crappy as far as coverage. I wanted to stay with AT&T as they are the largest and oldest carrier in my area. As a result, most of the people I know that I talk to are on this network (meaning unlimited mobile to mobile calls). I travel a lot on my job, so a large carrier like AT& T (or T-Mobile) is a must. ...

I guess I can understand the competition between the iPhone and an Android based phone, but I understood that Apple was seeking to terminate its exclusive contract with AT&T early. If that's the case, if I was AT&T, then it's Game On." I've seen the articles about a rumored Dell Android phone to possibly be introduced on AT&T's network. I've also seen that HTC 'hs Hero is a GSM phone in other parts of the world. I ...

Android for AT&T Anytime Soon?

I'm in the market for a new phone as my contract with AT&T has been up for a little while now. I played with two Android based phones last night (the HTC Hero and Motorola Droid). Both were nice! However, switching to another carrier offers no advantage for me as monthly costs would be similar and I know few people that have service on competing networks. Does anyone have any info on whether or not AT&T has an ...

It is a great plan and price on an awesome phone. I tried one out at one of their centers last night. However, I travel a lot on my job, mainly overnight and outside of MS. What they don't tell you about the $79.99 unlimited plan is that 50% of the calls you make and/or receive that month have to be made and/or received within the carrier's primary coverage area, which is basically MS. Go over 50% ...
