I agree that it will probably be Cingular still. Although, names have changed frequently....As an AT&T AND Cingular authorized dealer, this is a huge event, because we will, in essence, drop a carrier. And, I hope that this merger will eliminate all the problems we are STILL having with AT&T's GSM system being upgraded (another word for "crashed," as one of the reps put it so honestly to me). Came out today that Cingular made an offer of a premium per stock price. Rumor has it at $12.00 per stock, up over AT&T's recent value of $9.99 per stock.
