Re: This Proves...
You guys are idiots. CDMA is a newer technology then GSM & CDMA can accommodate more traffic than GSM. & considering AT&T & now Verizon are limiting data service & charging more, you would have to be an idiot not to look in Sprint's direction.
Sprint's data is unlimited, Cheaper & 4G! & about the 4G, I believe both LTE & WiMAXX were both rated at 100 Megs but in the real world it doesn’t work that way.

Re: "Nearly EVERYTHING" plan.~ Forget the HTC EVO 10 buck more plan.
I have been buying Levi's pants since I have been on my own because of no Union even though there prices have gone up. But instead of being a liberal & asking for handouts, I will continue to buy Levi's.
Re: 4G speed over USB seems to be faster
There will be an update for thatMonday I believe? I read an article somewhere about the chipset for the 4G/WiFi wasn't running @ full potential.
Re: So the smart choice would be..........
EVO has way better battery if used properly! As far as the 4G only 4x faster, IT'S STILL 4X FASTER! WiMax has more potential but why raise the bar when right now it's the fastest network. Sprint will raise the bar When LTE launches. Do some real homework & check out the 4G rev. 2. And about LTE being faster, of course records indicate LTE is faster when you transfer one packet of info on an unused network compared ...
Re: hero or moment
I found something even better than predictive text, voice to text. Download Handcent SMS. Handcent also resizes pictures to send via MMS. And just throwing this out there, the Moment can't do voice to text or voice google search.
Re: hero or moment
OK, enough said. In all honesty, I have the Hero because I don't want a phone that I have to slide in fear of breaking it. My Hero is wrapped snug in a rugged body glove case. Although coming from a line of Treo phones, the virtual keyboard was actually an easy transition for me aswell. Me personally, I would choose the Hero over Moment any day, but different strokes for different folks.
Re: hero or moment
So the Hero's CPU is outdated. Hmmm .... interesting. The Moment is the 1st device Sprint offered with a processor over 528 mhz. And the 800 processor in the Moment is overclocked to reach that (higher multiplier which we all know makes no difference in real world speed). May look a little better on paper but as mentioned before, My wife & I have either Android & in the real world her Moment is no faster than my Hero. ...
Re: Spending Limit Program Charge
Actually, the credit class is determined by your equifax score, then after 12 months of perfect payment history your off the hook. As far as anyone looking for aircard service, If you get stuck paying the $5 extra, you still have the advantage because Sprint has is the only 4G provider & it's unlimited! As far as the reszt of Sprints rate plans, they are the best bang for the buck.
Re: hero or moment
I use the Hero, my wife uses the Moment. HTC has a few extra widgets, more screens to add icons and better battery. I wouldn't worry about getting use to the keyboard, it was easy enough for me to get use too. I can also do voice to text and the moment cannot. I also don't care for moving parts as they break easier. On the other hand, The moment has a fater processor (800 mhz vs 528) and ...
Re: My thoughts on sprint
He probably got stuck paying the $4.95 for having a spending limit account. Even then, Sprint is still cheaper than anyone else. And the part about Sprint sticks there noses up at everyone. With my bad credit, a deposit at AT&T is $600, Verizon is $400, and Sprint is $150. And my credit is seriously jacked up.
Re: Any Must Have Apps!!!!
I removed my taskiller since the firmware update & I get 2 days. I'm always on it too. i-music is a great app. It's like limewire for your phone. Also Zedge for other ringers, message tones & wallpapers. Wikimobile, Shazam, Speedometer to name a few.
Re: Can you get pictures in text?
I recieve pictures just fine, sending is the tricky part. Because the camera is so huge, it's larger than the MMS 1mb cap. Download "Handcent SMS" and it will resize your picture to send. Handcent will also allow you to do voice to text.
Re: Battery .. cant get a full day
When the device was first launched there was an issue with text messaging draining the battery. The task killers were a temporary band-aid for a permanant problem. The recent firmware update fixed the sms battery drain. I have since removed my task killer & now I can go 2 days on one charge. At the end of the day, I cycle my Hero then throw it on the charger (to close unneccesary apps). Also, don't run the battery down, ...
Re: Android 1.6 & 2.0
From a reliable source, Android 2.1 will be available to Sprint devices in the 1st quarter 2010
Re: Exchange server compatability
ActiveSync is already embedded in device when setting up email.
Re: Messaging Ringer...
I use Zedge but its only their library of tones. On the other hand, there are thousands of tones & wallpapers too.
