Also it was not necessarily set up for tethering... T-Mobile will scale down your download speed if consuming a bunch really fast just like all other carriers unless on a $25 data plan. Those are fully unlimited and the PDA ones are made for tethering. So no its not really set up for tethering. Good luck in any case though :P

I guess for windows you need to get the Nokia suite and connect it then set it up as a modem under windows and dial out to number *99# and connection place is wap.voicestream.com. I use Ubuntu and to tether in Ubuntu you just plug it in and hit T-Mobile phone and connect instantly! That is why I love ubuntu. If you wanna check into using Ubuntu OS or maybe running in virtual window check it out here http://www.ubuntu.com. ...

I'm quite sure you can but if it needs a bigger battery door how will it fit inside the Zine without a extended battery door they dont make? Thats the only problem I see.. I've done with nokias and it does not mess up phone but you wont have a back door cover for battery with entended right?

Indeed T-Mobile EDGE network is pretty damn fast. Probably has some data compression through network which could be true but in my tests T-Mobiles EDGE has surpassed ATT's. I leave my pics on 5MP and I send pic messages in like 10 seconds or less. No problems... Wifi is a plus too dont forget can be used for pics and internet browsing... Phone is the best
