Re: need Europen/Asian version of unknown model
The RM-357 is the E71 (seems Europe version) so it's brother the RM-407 should be the US T-Mobile (AWS 3G) version 8) !!!
Confirmed via spy photos of the open back of an E71 (below is the link to the pictures)

Re: Nokia N-Series, E-Series, Candybar Phones ?!
I can only hope now that this is in fact the Nokia E71 :D
Re: Nokia N-Series, E-Series, Candybar Phones ?!
I bought an unlocked Nokia E61 back in september 2006 and still works like a champ.
And I would like to upgrade to another Nokia smartphone (symbian) but I haven't seen any supporting the upcoming T-Mobile's 3G network on the AWS bands.
The only Nokia phones that support such frequencies are a couple of flip-phones offered by T-Mobile, but these phones won't replace the functions my Nokia E61 provides me (eg. exchange push email)....
Oh well.... let's see what happens ...
Nokia N-Series, E-Series, Candybar Phones ?!
I wonder why T-Mobile UK has a very nice selection of Nokia Smartphones (eg: N95 and E51) but in T-Mobile US the majority are budget flip-phones :? ?
I am really hoping that the upcoming T-Mobile's 3G network roll-out brings some Nokia N-Series and E-Series phones supporting the AWS bands (1700 - 2100) :D !!
Re: 3g Launch Markets
I'd been waiting patiently for T-Mobile's 3G network for a long time. I hope they release some Nokia N-Series and E-Series phones with support for it 8)
Re: T-Mobile USA may pick it
I would buy the Nokia E51 in a heartbeat if it is released with support for T-Mobile's AWS bands 8) !!
Re: Unlocked Phones and Data Plans
It does cover unlimited KBs usage !!
I have my Nokia E61 always connected to T-Mobile's data network because I received a lot of work emails via ActiveSync, and the billing is always the same, regardless of how much data I have downloaded.
On a side note, T-MobileWeb is the same as the old T-Zones. They have now a new T-Zones Pro for $9.99 but I can't tell the difference. So I just keep paying $5.99 for T-MobileWeb. :)
Re: AWS Nokia Phones - Candybar (?!)
I hope to see E-Series as well supporting AWS bands (I currently use the E61).
Thanks a lot :) !
Re: Unlocked Phones and Data Plans
I have the Nokia E61 and use it mainly for corporate email via the Microsoft Exchange client, which implements push-email (like a blackberry) via Microsoft's Activesync protocol.
Anyway, I use T-MobileWeb service that for $5.99 gives me unlimited internet.
Web browising and email works very well, but not at 3G speeds. I am hoping T-Mobile rolls out their 3G (aws) network in April and also the rumored Nokia E71 comes out supporting T-Mobile's 3G...
I hope this information helps ...
AWS Nokia Phones - Candybar (?!)
T-Mobile USA has been introducing some Nokia phones that support the AWS bands (3G), but all these phones are flip-phones, and I personally love Nokia candybar (monoblock) phones.
* Will there be any Nokia candybar phones that support AWS (3g) network? Will there be any candybar Nokia S60 supporting AWS (eg: N78, E51, the rumored E71)?
Thanks in advance for any response.
