Re: I told you....
I remember when they rolled out the $4.99 ASL ... Can't believe it's $7.99 now lol
Re: Risky not to use a phone with 3G (right now)
I was in Vegas for thr weekend and the amount of times my phone went to 1x and 3G was high. Indoors and outdoors.
So many things wrong
They had a lot going for them at once point. Had they renamed themselves SoftBank USA and killed the sprit name to start over, I think it would have been a move in the right direction.
The sprint name is so piss poor
MMS
I'd rather have mms support than voice transcripts
Re: Wow... Verizon is full of deceit
I think everybody should get out of the U.S. Unless you paid for it and auction land off or give it back to the Natives.
Re: Way to parry words Verizon.
Why should they give up something they purchased already? Are you willing to give up property or money in your own business ventures?
Re: Yet Another "Plan"
Cost efficient way of improving network.
How is it credited?
You'd assume it would be cash credit but I have a sneaky suspicion it's a google play credit.
Re: house calls?
As someone who has done "tech work" for sprint, I have seen many refurbished phones directly from warehouse with corrosion and litmus stickers triggered. And charging ports not working, buttons defective, L CDs out, etc...
I've worked with many and seen many techs just mail in their jobs on a daily basis.
Re: house calls?
If these are the same "techs" that fix phones in stores currently, good luck. They barely want to do their jobs as it is and blame water damage for everything.
Re: Bankrupt
The majority of the people working there are current sprint employees who got transferred/forced/wanted to go. Doubt then the next wave of employees are part time people who are paid waaaaaaaay less.
Bankrupt
I see this backfiring so bad.. Nobody goes to RadioShack
Re: All Carriers Will Have This
I'm gonna cell you a cell phone service that worker best with wifi. Sounds reasonable.
Poor indoorcoverage
When you have to bake in wifi calling into your handsets, you know your spectrum sucks for indoor penetration. For the longest time Sprint employees would bad mouth tmobile for their wifi calling.
Re: Seems like a pretty small settlement...
I started working for sprint in 2006 and it was a cluster of a mess. CDMA, iden, then thr attempt to integrate the two companies. It's almost like they decided to take thr worst of both companies and combine them into one.
Nextel was awesome. Loved selling those phones. Nobody ever complained about coverage or dropped calls. Sprint dropped call complaints daily. They bought nextel at the worst time possible - text messaging started blowing up and it essentially ...
Re: Hilarious
not true at all.
I just updated my 5s finally to ios 8.1.2.. after restoring my device i have 4GB of free storage.
it's only 2GB if you do the OTA update. If there's anything to cry about, it's the fact that apple doesn't delete the download file after the update is complete, which I have seen many HTC devices do the same. Also another reason to cry - you don't own a computer to correctly do the software ...
Re: Haven't these kid centric phones failed every time?
Maybe we should have better parents parenting. Back when I was a kid, (here we go) I went to school. Went home. Went to a friends house, I would call my parents to let them know.
Re: Good Plan
i'd even go as far as End of Lifing some of the devices earlier - assuming that's not up to the carriers. they're still selling galaxy S3s and S4s. I'd ditch the Mega series as well. And all the random variations of junks.
Entry level, midrange disguised as last year's high end, high end, and Note series.
Oh the same goes for the tablets.
Re: Take away
Maybe they'll bring customer service back to the states and give raises to store employees as well. Now that would help fix sprints image. But alas it's too late. Morale is so down within sprint
Great idea!
But 10 calls? that's nearly 5 minutes of dialing if you assume 30 minutes for each call. that would mess my mind up
Dafuqq? That's an S4
What in the world is with the design?
stop trying to make BBM happen
!
PTT is dead
this is another reason why sprint is stupid. nobody wants PTT. text messaging killed PTT. you've got that odd customer base that wants it, guess what? there are apps out there for it already.
know when to dip out sprint and focus your time and money elsewhere. like ON THE NETWORK
Re: yeah!!
i agree. the last thing we need is one less big competitor. i'm anti-merger.
Re: Government Knows Best
very great points made
or can you imagine someone that works at your wireless carrier? whether that be a store or call center on their way out as their last day, or having a horrible day? someone calls into them, and as i suspect, starts yelling at them and cussing them out. they say 'screw it' and kill your phone?
on second thought i like the idea ;)
How does warranty and insurance work?
1 year obviously through Motorola I would assume. I'm sure GSM customers have a better experience going through Moto but what about CDMA like Sprint and Verizon?
The same with insurance.
How is a replacement device ordered? Is it a black/white stock one at that point or a completely remade device with the original color combination??
Who's losing?
Wireless advocates wil only sell three carriers at each physical kiosk. The question is who is getting booted? Last year a mix of tmobile and AT&T got replaced by sprint... What about this year? From what I remember it was an even mix of 100 kiosks adding sprint.
Re: I'm totally confused
And what happens with insurance replacements? I'm going to assume it won't be covered by AT&T/asurion. Of if it is, what do they send out as a replacement? Your green and blue with purple phone or the standard black?
Re: Sex Appeal
I don't know how many HTC Ones and EVO LTE/X have had blown speakers. But the number is quite high. And I don't know if it's HTC's fault or Beats
This AND note 3?
Launch dates so close. I'd feel like an idiot if I bought this instead of the note 3. Wy Samsung
Re: FM Radio
i feel it's been a standard HTC thing for a while now i feel like.
Re: sd card support
lol it's funny isn't it that those were overlooked. but hey he did mention twice, no make it a few times that 3g was bad and there wasn't 4g.
since when did a phone review include a carrier review?
Re: Awesome or hype?
Blackberry
Windows mobile
Palm
...
Someone sure loves them some Motorola. BDS ?
Re: flash force fury
Lol oh please like anybody is buying these ZTE phones, let alone Sprint ones. I'd be surprised if these three devices combined have sold more than a million
Re: The outsider coming in effect.
That's also why tmibiles new plans have virtually no overages. Besides calling in to complain about coverage I'm sure bitching about going over minutes is the most common. This saves the company credits and the eventual need for more customer service agents.
I smell another layoff in a few months. Oh wait I lied, since tmobile already outsources a lot of their agents.
Re: The outsider coming in effect.
Carly was one of the employees let go too
this company keeps on trimming payroll - customer service, national retail, corporate stores disappearing in exchange for TPRs, more and more part-time employees inside corporate stores. i guess they have to make it up somewhere with money shelled out to iphone, LTE, and cheaper plans
Re: CDMA/GSM
probably has to do with how easy it is to activate with sprint (lower deposits) and thus turning around and selling the device for profit overseas.
Re: Thanks
I agree with you. Nothing flashy
Re: Nothing New
i would assume there are a lot of other people like myself who stream pandora on my phone via wifi.
good thing there are other alternatives out there. pandora, spotify, songza, slacker. guess my phone will have all 4 to rotate through weekly .. :-/
Re: Not good news, but good to know...
Oh like it's all sprints fault they have to move off iden and it's all sprints fault they can't get Motorola I'm board to make a CDMA ptt phone? Lol
