sorry, the 'aforementioned PTT' is referring to QChat, I type too fast sometimes. :D
Re: Not gonna happen
Probably not with the same form factor, but Motorola could theoretically build a smart device with the iDEN PTT technology. IF they did, I can't imagine them doing it for anything other than PowerSource or the aforementioned PTT. While new iDEN handsets will continue to come out for a while, I don't think Motorola's looking to do anything ambitious with the platform.
Re: PDA phones anyone???
Unfortunately the iDEN technology is Motorola-designed. The only exception have been the two blackberries that have been made for iDEN (and I believe at a hefty cost to RIM), but otherwise it's been Moto all the way. Blackberry might do a new iDEN blackberry to take the platform into the 21st century (have you seen a 7520? Those things are decrepit beasts from beyond time) and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a PowerSource blackberry ...
Re: LG's problem....
That's not LG's problem, that's Sprint's problem. LG's proprietary music player is pretty righteous, but Sprint disables it and makes you use their player. It's certainly not a completely moronic move; they did it that way so it could sync to the Sprint Music Store which is good for their business, but it leaves you with a little bit of a sub-par music player experience.
