There is a company called Susteen that offers a product called DataPilot. It allows you to backup your phonebook, add and remove images, movies and ringtones from you phone. It uses a USB or serial data cable and they have the cable available for almost all Verizon phones.

I live in Boston, and none of the stores around here have them. They had originally told me that it was coming out today (June 25th), but when I called today they said that they haven't even received their shipments of them yet. Their guess was July 1st, but said there's a chance the date could be backed up again!
