North American 3G networkS would mean AT&T AND T-Mobile. If it's 850/1900 UMTS, then it is one network only. (AT&T owns Rogers so Canada doesn't count).

It's an even better move for Nokia. I have an N900 and I am desperately awaiting this so I can use all of the Android apps that my mom is using on her Vibrant on my amazing and aged device.

I pay $3.99 for unlimited* (*throttled speeds after 5gb, but not capped) internet on T-Mobile and my Nokia N900 smartphone. It has WiFi, USB, and Bluetooth options for a tethering hotspot--all of which are absolutely free.
F*ck AT&T.
