LG CU500

Would like to be able to multi-task while listening to MP3's. If I select All Songs, then it works. If I select anything else, such as playlists, or if I select the song to start playing in all songs ( to skip over the ringtones) then the "Minimize" button goes away.

Anyone else experienced this?

Hello i was wanting to know does anyone know how good this phone is. i have a slvrl7 and i was thinking about getting the cu500. is the camera good,speaker,memory. thanks

I noticed for a couple of days now that my 3G and Edge connection when tethered to my laptop is very slow. Did Cingular just restrict tethering? Anybody experience the same thing? Location: NYC.

I have tethered my LG to my laptop sucessfully as I get the "Connected at 115kbps" message and my bphone shows the graphic of tethering. Once tethered I try to connect to the internet but all I get is an "error 400" message eventually popping up in the pc browser after 20 - 30 secs.

Can anyone help ?

This is what I've noticed. When the external screen goes off after being idle the time will remain the same time as when it turned off. When you hit one of the side keys to turn it on again there will be a slight delay as it shows the old time and then is updated to the new time. Anyone else have this quirk? If not, I'll probably try to exchange the phone.

I did the firmware update and everything went smoothly. The only thing that is noticable that they fixed is that now you can use the ringtones downloaded fron Cingular as ringtones. Thats a plus, since I had downloaded a few and they didnt prior to the update.

A cingular rep just called me today and gave me a subsidy code to unlock my CU500 phone.

She gave me the following instructions:

1)Put in a non-cingular SIM card into phone. 2)Turn on phone.
3)Press C button.
4)Enter subsidy code.

When I tried, this is what happened:
3) "Invalid Smartchip" is display.
Can't enter subsidy code.
Tried the 277634#*#, but can't access subsidy code.

Need to travel to Asia soon. Anyone have suggestions on how to enter subsidy code?

Hi guys need a little help. I'm able to receive files through bluetooth from my pc but am not able to send files to my pc from my phone. I try to send and a second later it says sending canceled on the phone.

I've tried sending files to another phone through bluetooth from my phone and it sent find. I've also tried sending files to my pc from other phones and that worked as well.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

and enter in your phone number. I believe you need to be signed up for Cingular Online and have the CU500 set as your current phone. Once you enter in your phone number, accept the terms and conditions and make sure your phone is powered on. You should recieve a message asking if you would like to update. Agree, and the update take about a minute to download (on 3G, probably longer on EDGE). Then your phone will power cycle and the installation takes about 5 minutes.

hey guys, just wondering if anyone knew when this phone was going to be in michigan and/or if it ever is? i'm hoping soon cuz i have a motorola v551 and it sucks! i need a new phone asap!

Please walk me through how to use my CU 500 as a modem so that I can use my laptop through my bluetooth cell and browse away. I have been trying for hours and I am not getting anywhere - can anyone help ??

AAARRRGGHHH !!

I love the CU 500 but it drives me nuts because I have a few applications such as my email progs etc that I want to keep running in the background when I close the phone (ala treo 650) but everytime I close the phone to put in my pocket it shuts off any apps that i am using and i find it infuriating to have to relaunch the programs everytime I want to use an app.
Can anyone help - PLEASE !!

I live in MI and my Cingular retailer told me this phone wouldn't be available until the end of the month (Sept). How did everyone else get there's so early, what gives?

Everytime I make a call or go on the internet near electronic equipment with speakers, the speaker signal is interfered with. I've heard it on my office telephone system, my office stereo system, and my car stereo system. This has never happened with other cell phones I've used. I'm hoping there is a setting that can be adjusted to fix this. Any ideas what's going on? Thanks.

I just gon an LG. I use the phone for personal and for work. The book says I could make group/personal ringtones. I have tried both. I have set up groups for each contact and set the group ringtones. That did not work, so I set up an individual ring tone for each contact, and the general ringtone still takes over so everyone has the same.

My phone keeps playing the messaging incoming alert sound, but there are no messages.
It happened like 5 times already in a row with 10 minute gaps inbetween. Does anybody know what's wrong with my phone? -_-;;

So ... I bought the phone today, bought a miniSD card and bought USB cable and followed the directions to transfer music, but it doesn't work??
