One thing I know the new firmware fixes.
I did the firmware update and everything went smoothly. The only thing that is noticable that they fixed is that now you can use the ringtones downloaded fron Cingular as ringtones. Thats a plus, since I had downloaded a few and they didnt prior to the update.

So far, I havent found anything else. Im wondering what else it fixed. I wish the Cingular website would list the fixes.
