Nokia 6215i

I bought three Nokia 6215i phones with a family plan. I can not get any of the phone to zoom in or out when in camera mode. Is anyone else having this problem. I have had them since January 2007.

Resolution?

The specs say the main OLED is 128x128, but
when I email myself a 128x128 JPEG to
(mynumber)@vzwpix.com
and save it under My Pics, then select it as the wallpaper, it only fills a portion of the available area.

When I look at the Pix data for the images that came with the phone, they *all* say
160x99, yet when I save a 160x99 JPEG under My Pics, it *still* doesn't fill the available area the way the images that came with the phone do.

Any insight anyone?

TIA,

Saving sound as ringtone??

I'm interested in being able to send my phone songs via pix messaging and saving them as RINGTONES .. not just as My Sounds.

Does anyone know if this can be done on this phone?

Answers... and Questions

I had a chance try this phone in the Verizon store and actually make a few calls with it. The voice quality, both on my end and the other person's end, was superb. I called my wife's landline with this phone and several others, and it was on a par with my Motorola V710 (which until now was the best I had heard). It easily beat a Razr, and several other models I tried at the same time. I'm quite picky, so I'm not saying this lightly.

For the person who was wondering, as a Verizon phone the 6215 has the "Verizon menu" just like every new Motorola, LG, etc.

Despite what others have said, the 6215 did not feel cheap or fragile to me. It felt small and light, but that isn't the same as cheap.

I really liked its small size and l...

Menu like old ones?

Hello there-
I was wondering if someone could tell me if this Nokia phone has menus similar to the old ones-I currently have a 6010 and just got this phone when I switched to Verizon. I really like the way the menus were set up previously, so just wondering if they are the same. Thanks!

too bad

I'm afraid this is the beginning of the end for decent nokia handsets on verizon. Sad if the pantech 215 is any indication, we can expect less-than-stellar reception from this, which is a far cry from the awesome reception customers have come to love from nokia. i still think it is too bad that nokia is officially out of the game for cdma markets and the best we can expect is relabeled pantechs. i'm sure pantech will get their act together and some of their concept phones look pretty sweet, but I would rather just have nokia called nokia and pantech called pantech, and get them both... sorry to be a bother...but how does the rokr e2's feel, weight, a size compare to the e1? do the feel simular? how are the "outter" specs in comparison.

with all the added features the rokr e2 is making me think its going to be as heavy as my se s710a. is it or not?

W810 Does anybody know if this phone will be branded

I was wondering if this phone will be branded by a carrier and if so who? Or will we have to buy it through retail stores?
Does anybody know if the camera has same features as the W800??
I have the W800 but reception isn't good since it doesn't have the 850 band. But love everything else on the phone. Just wondering if the W810 will have some of the same camera features??? Thanks Rox

Alpha Tag

Anyone else notice that the alpha tag on the LG U320 says Cingular Extend? I though that was a thing of the past. Hmmmmm...

Samsung Innovation?? 5MP phone by 2006??

CES 2005 sparked the unveiling of the SPH-A800, the US's first 2MP cameraphone.

Where is the innovation this year? Already released Samsung SPH-A900/SGH-T809? A Cingular look-alike (D807). Is the biggest announcement they have a WiFi phone for T-Mobile with no Bluetooth/QVGA? What is this?

I doubt that the yet to be reviewed A930 will be anything more than a Verizon A900 with MicroSD.

Where is the 5MP that Samsung promised by years end 05'? Now THERE'S a question to ask the floor reps Rich....

All in all, this years CES, for Samsung, did not spark the same excitement of 2005. None of these "SLIM" phones make me want to dump my year old now MM-A800- in fact, they really make me realize that 2005 just *might* have been the year o...

Overall opinion is not too hot.

I think Samsung had the best corporate designed phones there, but they are becoming homogenized again....how many black sliders?

However, they had lots of misses, like the "calculator phone" and the a930 was not my cup of tea (and seems pretty fat).

Sony Ericcson and Motorola really had nothing really new there. SE's spinner phones are all beginning to look the same to me too (other than bright colours of the W600).

Pantech and UTStarcom? Man they were ugly, no correct that, fugly. Add the Kyocera strobe, which is a cross between Motorolas old "peanut phone" and LG's fat 9100.

Speaking of LG, I thought they have the most diverse lineup. I really dug that 350 which has a metal interior (although the whole phone should be in bl...

A2DP question

Can this profile be added to a phone already on the market?

I know it would take sales away from future handsets, but it sure would be nice to have A2DP available in a firmware upgrade.
