OK Phone

OK Phone. I don't have it, but it's an OK phone. Also, someone put the score of 5 instead of 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, or 2 on a negative review of this phone 🙄

Cannot Push Media via Bluetooth

My Kyocera's screen started going haywire so I called my MetroPCS insurance company and got a replacement: a Motorola SLVR L7. Now I need to get my old pics off the Kyocera and onto the SLVR. I went to the MetroPCS office and they told me to contact Asurion, the insurance company and see if they couldn't reactivate that phone temporarily so I can email myself my pics. When I called Asurion, they agreed to do this, but the reactivation never took place. So today I called back and they told me to take my phone into a MetroPCS office - I explained I already had and that they had sent me back to Asurion. She said that she would be unable to re-activate that phone, so if I had Bluetooth on both phones (which I do), I could link them and push my p...

SwitchBack, Questions for the Group at large..

First off, has anyone had probelms with the Phone Shutting itself on and turning back on if you use Mobile Email?

Second, has anyone bought a K612 USB cable?
Can you use ringtones you create if so?

ringtone help

I have a new Strobe, 2 days old...I want a new ringtone 🙂 Problem is, I want a ringtone made of a snippet of song that's on my computer -- I have a friend who is a budding musician, he wrote the piece, and I like it enough I want IT as my ringtone. Is there any way to convert this to the proper format (It's MP3 currently) and then get it to my phone as a ringtone? If so, what's the max length/size it should be? (he's given me permission to use it, and has said he'd put it in the proper format/size if I can find out how this can be done)

TIA

Strobe with bluetooth not working

My daughter has a Strobe with bluetooth. We can get the phone to connect to another phone with bluetooth, but when we try to transfer a ringtone that we made to the Strobe the sending phone acts like it is working until it gets to the end then it says it was rejected.

The salesman at the Alltel store told us that the bluetooth would only connect to bluetooth devices that you can't transfer songs with it.

Any ideas?

Great Phones Available

Just an FYI~ if you're in the market for a great phone with a keyboard, then take a look at the SideKick3, or LG's 9200.

Rave reviews, Great Product!

ALERT: Strobe phones from MetroPCS will not sync w/ computers.

Look what I found out from Kyocera tech support. I bought a Kyocera Strobe phone from Metro PCS last week. I ordered the data cable from the Kyocera site to be able to sync my phone with my laptop. I received the software and sync cable. I installed the software and proceeded to connect the Strobephone to my computer as instructed via the data cable. Nothing happened. I tried several times and still no luck.

I called Kyocera Tech support, 800-349-4478, to try to solve the problem. The tech support person asked me the SW Version of my Metro PCS phone. (the latest version recently installed by Metro PCS). I gave him the SW Version which is 1.1.06.

The tech support person told me that Metro PCS Kyocera Strobe phones will not support...

Calendar and data functions

Can any Strobe user comment on the sophistication of the calendar on the phone? Does it have alarms for events? What about a notes or memo section??? Does anything like this exist? With the qwerty keyboard I would think it may have some organizer functions built-in. Any comments?

Thanks!

Another Great Review!

The latest review for the wonderful Switchback came it at only 67% due to lack of features and performance. I told you so!

Need a phone with a great camera?

Here you go another wonderful review- "The Camera is just average so if you want a nice camera phone go with something else".

Go with the LG9100 or Sidekick3. Great for messaging & the camera works well.

The latest reviews

The latest reviews on the Strobe call it the "Switchback to middle-ages" It begs the question..Why??

If you really need to text on a device go with the wonderful Sidekick3 or LG9100. Excellent phones, great for messaging and even include Bluetooth.
