a few question for anyone who sells/owns the strobe.

For some reason, my AIM has a very LOOOOOONG delay...Ill send a message to a computer, they get the message right away, but I wont get the response until about 20 minutes later. And then Ill get the same IM like 5 times in a row. Is this common for Alltel

ALso, is it possible to include a picture someone sent to me in my wallpaper shuffle??

And if the AIM is a problem where they have to switch out my phone, will I be able to keep the ringtones I've already paid for?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer...

I propose ...

...that we all begin a petition to ban our community know-it-all, who continues forcing legitimate subjects down to the bottom of the board with his childish rants. Anyone want to second that?

Hope it makes it's way up to Canada.

I don't care what any1 says how it looks. Its Kyocera and its a keyboard phone so it looks mad-usefull for me. We don't have many keyboard phones up in Canada unless they are PDA(Blackberry,Treo). We got the lg vx9800,lg 6190, nokia 3300, nokia 6820, and Sidekick. But not enough keyboard phones, all they care about is MP3's and camera phones. I can't stand using T9 mode! If you are Canadian and you like what you see with this phone I urge you to call Bell or Telus and tell them to get this phone! If not then call other cell phones companys and tell them they need more keyboard phones(we all love to text).

Would everyone else join me in reporting the TROLL??

I've done it, but I think it would be more effective if more than one person did.

CNET Review

Yet another bad showing for the Strobe. CNET reviews were poor with direct quotes below.

The bad: The Kyocera Switch Back is bulky and has a cumbersome design. It suffers from poorly designed buttons and controls, as well as a tiny external display.

The bottom line: We had some serious design complaints with the Kyocera Switch Back, but the QWERTY keyboard, may work for some if your fingers are small enough.

Testing this device

This phone is great.
Its sad when someone hates a ceartin cell phone manufacture.
I hear everyone saying that kyocera is bad.
I had the KOI for a full year.
One of the best phones I have ever owned.
This phone has BLUETOOTH!!
So if you dont want the RAZR (ya know the phone that everyone wants or already has) Then this might be an option.
This phone is great for texing and it has a camera

If this phone does not have something you want then dont put it down and say its a bad phone or that you dont like kyocera.

In a few years every phone will have bluetooth and mp3 and videos so it will just be a matter of what you like.

SwitchBack available through Virgin Mobile

Word of advice, Virgin mobile offers the worse wireless service available. Now, couple that with the Switchback and you'll get what you pay for. 🙄

Stick with the best T-Mobile,Cingular, Verizon.

Here's why:

If you compare rates T-Mobile To Go
(T-Mobile's prepay service), Virgin is considerably more expensive in most cases. Virgin's rates end up working out to 15-20 cents a minute for most folks, while with T-M To Go, if you're willing to buy minutes in $50 or $100 chunks, the rates are 10-12 cents a minute... quite a bit better.

And even when it comes to very low usage (i.e. the'glovebox special'), which is one of Virgin's strong points, T-M TG is still a good deal.

For example, the $100 card with T-M To Go gives you...
