Is there an option to have ring tone with vibrate?

I have a VZW v325, and am confounded by the ring lights option in the sound menu. When I click "ok" or "change," there are no other options besides "none." Does anyone know of a way to turn on the ring lights? Is this a type of service where I have to pay extra, like, for example, a downloaded wallpaper? A key I am missing?

The user manual is completely unhelpful, and Motorola's over the phone customer support was not so supportive, I just got transferred around and put on hold and finally gave up.

I discovered something cool, may not be new to some. Anyway, When I went to make a new Categorie group it let me assign a ringtone for that group. I love it! But now my question is...Can I delete a group or edit one once it has been set up? I've looked and I can't find a way to do this. I don't want to do a master clear and that wouldn't let me edit the Categorie / Groups already installed.

1)When Charging (home), does only half of the blue light illuminate every so often? (When receiving a call -- it all lights ups)

2) I cannot, for the life of me, get my Voice Dial/Digit Dial! Even a simple contact such as "Home" in "Name Dial Home" reveals "NO MATCH FOUND" Very frustrating! I even did the "Voice Service Setup" -- but that is just "adapt digits".

I answered my own question on 2) I figured it out! --- According the ever-helpful motomanual ;-) it makes it sound like you say in all one breath "Name Dial Bill Smith", (page 4😎 when in actuality you say "Name Dial" then you say "Bill Smith". UGH!

ANyway, 1) is not that big of a deal, if mine is broken with only half of the lights lighting up when charging.... but I'...

I just got the V325 and so far its great!

In the manual it is mentioned that the external display can show the date as well as the time.

How can the external display setting be changed to reflect this?

I'd like to be able to play with it before I replace my aging phone. Does anyone know when this phone will be in stores?

I didn't think I was quite *this* stupid, but I can't figure out how (or IF) the motorola v325's speed dial helps you, once you set the speed dial #s. Am I missing something?

On my old Samsung, if I assigned, say, speed dial number 22 to a certain phone number, I'd press 2-2 and hold the last digit, then the speed dial would kick in and dial the programmed #.

Speed dial also doesn't seem to affect the arrangement of the Contacts list on the v325. Apparently you can't alter the Contacts list at all on this phone--unless I missed something else.

Is there any actual advantage to assigning speed dial numbers on this phone?

On my old phone - Samsung sch-a530 - I had a long list of available applications from which to choose for downloading ringtones to my phone. Here are the names of just a few of them: MyTonz, Xringer, MIDIRingTones, Ringster, Modtones, Sony Music Box. (There were a few more, but I can't remember the names.)

Although it's understandable how people don't like the limitations on their freedom to download free stuff onto the VZW phones, GetItNow always gave me a pretty decent choice of ringtone applications. I could always find "cool" tones for my phone. No more, apparently.

On my new moto v325, all that come up on the Get It Now screen are the following programs, with no apparent way to add new ones: VZW Tones Deluxe, Sony Music Box, Mast...

I notice this is available only online? Is this phone ever going to make it into the VZW retail stores? I'd like to have the opportunity to look at it before I buy.

Hope the VZW verson isn't a gutted version of the "real" manufacturer's version, as in the case of the RAZR, etc.

So I spent about 45 minutes on the phone being bounced around with vzw reps the other day and nobody could figure this one out. How much memory does the v325 have, and how do you figure out how much is available? There is nothing anywhere in the "wonderful" new vzw common interface that will reveal that seemingly trivial piece of information.

Also has anyone figured out a way to get pics off the phone or tones onto it? I tried bitpim and it still doesn't recognize the phone. MPT 4.04 does recognize the phone but will only sync the phone book. MPT won't even sync the calendar! I tried changing it manually to v323 and v323m and they still won't read the calendar from the phone. with the 323 the multi-media library shows up but can'...

USCC is now carying it for $150 after the plan rebates and with a $30 mailin rebate= $120. 😁

I just received the v325 and so far it is a very nice phone.

I do have a couple questions:

1) The manual says you can view the time and date on the external display, but I can only see the time. Is there a way to see the date on the external display? Also, can you view the phone mode (whether it is on vibrate or not) on the external display?

2) Is there a way to have keylock turn on when the phone is closed and then back on when you open the phone up? My old Sanyo had that feature and I can't seem to find it on the new phone.

Just got the phone today and am really loving it. I was disappointed that a cradle/holster was not included.

Does anyone know if there is a compatible holster for this phone?

Are there drivers for the phone and which SYNC software is best? I want to have a bit more control of what ringers and pics my phone has.

I just ordered this phone through Verizon's website, based on the reviews here and elsewhere, and a few comparisons w/ other phones - AND the fact that I was eligible for my new every two upgrade and the price was under $90 for the whole shipment!!

What I really need is one of Motorola's desktop charging stations - the kind where you have to buy different inserts for the back part of the station if you want to charge an extra battery simultaneously.

So far, they don't list it as available on their website. My son's charging station for the E815 seems work with lots of the Moto phones, if you go by the SKU #. But if the v325 uses the mini-USB type jack, that wouldn't work. A Moto phone rep said the cradle charger isn't available as ye...

😡 I hate the way Verizon only replaces their defective phones with "refurbished" ones, no matter how new the phone, or whether it's under warranty or not.

It's a rip-off, IMO. They do that even if you bought your phone 5 minutes ago!

That's why I prefer buying through a retailer who offers an extended warranty, such as BestBuy.

Any suggestions how to get this phone from a reputable retailer, either in a store or online?
