Cant get rid of Voicemail message indicator?

With an unbranded phone on Cingular network, i cant get my message icon to go away. I have tried to talk to cingular tech people, but no help has come from that. I tried a master reset. I tried cycling the phone on and off. The only way i can get it to go away, is if i put someone else's SIM in my phone and then switch back.
Anyone else have this issue?
Anyone else know how to solve it?

Using Internet with Cellular One on unlocked SLVR L7

I recently purchased and unlocked SLVR off of Ebay. I am currently using the phone with Cellular One. However, I can not access the internet with it. Does anyone know the settings or where I can get them? Thanks.

Sending/Receiving Multimedia Txts

I am unable to send or receive multimedia text messages. Every time someone send me a picture through a text message it doesn't show the picture it just shows alot of ? marks. When I try to send them it tells me unable to send message. I tried to set up browser settings for Cingular Media Net, from a posted website off of this forum, but that doesn't work neither. Someone help me plz 😢

delete original pictures/ringtones?

I have an unbranded phone that is working pretty well. I have put my own pictures and mp3 ringtones on it just fine so far, but i want to get rid of some of the crappy rings and pictures that the phone comes with to save some of the internal memory. Is there any way to do this??

All the L7 Gurus out there... Please help.

I have ringtone selected in the main selection (not assigned the ringer ids)... When the phone ring, I hear the ringtone that I have assigned. But if I am connected to Bluetooth head set and get a call, I do not hear the ringtone that I have selected, instead I get one of those CHERPY tones (that I hate)... Is there something I am missing or change to fix this...

Also, there is another post from me regarding editing the .WAV ringtone if anyone can respond to that (posted on Friday)...

iTunes 6

I updated my iTunes (on my laptop) to 6, it doesn't seem to update the phone anymore.

Clicking on the iTunes Store in iTunes shows that ver 4.9 is required for this phone... does that mean ver 6 will not work?

Connecting to the Internet via the Bluetooth Modem

Has anyone been able to do this on this phone.

I have had a SE T616 and a Z520a and all I had to do on my PDA was pair the device with the phone, then create a connection with *99# as the number and connect. With this SLVR, it seems like it wants to do it... If I set the access on the phone to Manual, it asks if I want to use the phone as a Gateway when I try it... but it then disconnects. I even tried to use the phone as a dail-up... and the PDA gets it to dial, but then immediately disconnects. What am I missing???

Screen Question....

Anyone who has the SLVR for Cingular...I've got a question for you. Does the phone have something on the screen to protect it from scratches b/c the motorola website said there was something on it. I was thinking of getting this phone but not if im gonna get a billion scratches on it. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Editing Songs (*.wav) and using it for Ringtone

Hi all;

I did the above (in subject) and uploaded to my phone. While editing it in MPT it sounds great. But when I listened it on the phone it sounded horrible, a lot of noise, static and felt like the sound was coming from benith the earth... Is there something wrong that I am doing? I have not tried it for MP3...

Also, I was not able to upload the Complete song on the phone after converting it to listen to it on the phone. Any suggestion?

Assigned Ringtones?

🙂 has anyone figured out how to separate the custom ringtones from the text message tone? I remember reading somewhere here that once you set people for assigned ringtones, their text messages will ring that same tone. I was wondering (one) if this is true and (two) if there is a way around this? THANKS!

I'm New to Cingular can you help

I just changed to Cingular from Verizon and I have a few questions.

1. Do I have to update my roming like with Verizon it was *228 or does Cingular just know where there are new towers.

2. How do I know if there are software updates for my phone does the software update link in my phone really tell me that, and do I have to take it in to a store to do the updates or they done over the air.

MOTO SLVR with T-Mobile?

Is it possible to unlock this phone and run it with T-Mobile service? I really like the phone but I am stuck with that service.

What format does a SLVR video show up as, if emailed?

If someone has a SLVR phone and takes a video and then emails it to (not a phone) but a normal email address, what format does the video show up as?

Someone send one to mike-test@msdsite.com, so I can see what the video format looks like in an email.

Also, I have tried this with my daughter's phone but the video never arrives. She is with cingular and had no problem sending photos and videos before. Is there some service that is required for cingular users to send email videos?

Speaker Independent Voice Dialing

I have been cruising phonescoop to try and find an answer to this, but cant seem to find one! Does this phone use speaker indepenant voice dialing or does it use the plain old speaker dependant? I have had customers ask me this question and I dont know what to tell them! and that looks bad 🤭 ! lol any info would be appreciated!

I know that they come with a Motoplayer but can u install iTunes somehow on an unbranded version?
