Motorola V265 / V266 / V276

An area VZW Sales & Merchandising Rep came into the store today, she is doing a Freindly User Trial (FUT) of the V265 & I got a chance to play with it. It seems like a solid phone, doesn't seen as flimsy as a T730. It didn't have the creaks of a T730 either (If you've used a T720/730, you know what I mean). The menus seem to be standard Moto fare & the outside display seemed very legible, even when I held it directly under a bright light. The only downside was the size of the screen, it is very small. I did not try & remove the faceplates or try out the speakerphone. She said it seems to get a better signal than her old T730. The Motorola plastic belt clip/holster does not swivel either. Oh well

Just got the memo in and the V265 is now inventoried. The price is $149.99 for 2yrs so far, I'm not sure about the

Any thoughts on how this will stack up against 6100...other than the screen. If I wanted an awesome screen, I would get the 9900. I like the fact this has the ext. antenna...and possibly a better speaker phone.

The V265 showed up in our InfoManager "Coming Soon" list. It says that it will come out on November 5th, just like the guy in the last post said. It does not show any specific accy's for the phone yet.

I called Customer Service and got to someone who knew about the phone.

Possible release date is December, but it may vary with the different Carriers.

V262 is for US Cellular ONLY!!

I know that several people out there have said that this phone is coming out for Verizon, but this may be more proof. I found this on the hellomoto web site:

It shows the screen of the phone with the VZW Get It Now icon as a shortcut on the screen. Hope this helps.

Any "credible" updates this week on the completion of testing, and/or planned Verizon launch of the V265?

For anyone who has used/tested the phone:

Like most past Motorola models, does the V265/262 have sidetone: the sound of your own voice in the earpiece when you talk?

Does the screen, although smaller than the V710 and V810, for example, feature the same displays/icons (via software program) as the V710 and V810?

Everything else was good for the phone needs to go back to the drawing board for larger display.. there is also a v262 no camera function...sleek phone though

When does this phone come out...I'm hearing this month? A friend of mine just got the Mot v220 from Cingular -- this one seems simlar but looks a lot better. Anyone know if the camera's any good?

Will the V265 have a new charge port? i read somewhere that this phone and the v260 will either be the first with the new port or the last with the old.

Hey guys, here is what I have observed so far. The phone is really good. The display is the only thing stopping me from giving it a 9 out of 10. The web feature is pretty fast, faster than the v710.... The gin, no worky. The speakerphone does not work with the phone closed, bummer. The key pad has a cool feature, it only lights up when there is low light or in the dark. The voice is the same as the v710, advanced dialing. Battery life is great, so far it is on the same charge that it had since friday. I have some news on the v810......still in the works, the plans are that it will come out for VZW b4 Xmas. That is what my motorola contact said.

Hope the color quality is much better then T 730..just wish the outside screen could be color 😡

😁 Very nice lookin phone!!! The outside of the phone is awesome and the only thing so far that turns me off is the internal screen, small wish it had the v810's screen. Hey, blue lit numbers! Speakerphone, and the verizon logo is already on it!!!

Remember, Verizon always will carry pretty much what UScellular does. Hint...the v810!

I haven't seen much definite info on price or dates for Verizon...any insites? Is the camera worth it, or is the V260 the way to go?

Would anyone know the SAR level for this phone? Or would I have to wait till it's released to find that out 🙂
