I have a couple of questions:
(1) When they say it will be "available" on Nov 5, does that mean that on November 5th I can walk into any Verizon Wireless store and buy one? Or does it just mean that that's when the phone arrives at ther stores, and then we have to add on another day or two for them to put them on the shelf?
(2) My company offers discounts on Verizon Wireless service, and I bought my current phone through their rep that comes to our company. Any thoughts on whether it's easier/cheaper/best to track down this rep and order the phone directly through him/her to insure I keep my service discount, or will I have a better chance of getting the phone directly from a Verizon Wireless store, and risk losing my service discount? ...

My only answer is that it should be in stores by Nov 5th. No one store can guarrentee it's arrival date due to the distance from the distribution centers, or the shipping companies dependability.
