Motorola V710

I would like to know if anyone knows if v710's are available anywhere.

I bought the v710 the day it came out. I believe I paid around $400 for this when it first came out. Can I get the $400 back, and do I need to send them my recipt? Thanks in advance...

I dont see why not since u can use the PSP memory stick pro duo in a memory stick pro adapter and use it in a Sony digital camera. So can you??

Ok So do we only get the full refund price if we cancel our contract with VZ and leave? The staying option will probably only give us a $100 credit towards a new phone (In which we would be inelligible for other discounts)? If so what stops us from doing this and returning to another store resigning and using the money we receive to purchase a really good phone.

Hey guys, I just recently got a replacement v710 from verizon (my old one always froze on me). The new one has the latest firmware 8700_01.40.0R.

My problem is the changed Phonebook. I use categories to distinguish between different people in my phonebook. In my previous phone the category name would display on top whenever I'm in that specific category (pressing * and # while in Phonebook changes the categories and should appropriately change the name which appears on top). On the new one however, no matter what category I'm browsing it says "CONTACTS".

When I switch the language to Spanish, Categories are once again displayed; however, in English there is that constant and annoying "CONTACTS". Is there a SEEM EDIT (I couldn't find o...

I was reading over the legal settlment, and I noticed that in order to participate you must submit all supporting information within 60 days of the initial mailing of the notices. I know everyone on here has been anxious about this settlement. But I myself am hoping for the initial notification to come later rather than sooner, so that we get until the end of the year. The rumor is that the CDMA RAZR for Verizon might be released by then, and I am sure it will be expensive, and for those of stay who have no choice but to stay with Verizon because of the quality of service connectivity, according to the wording we get reiumbursed for the purchase of a new phone. They say you should dial *228 every couple of months to update your "preferred roaming list". Has anyone done this? Is it a good idea? Does it update the firmware (and get rid of the copy option)?

this is my first forum with phone scoop, i have alot of customers asking me how to download different things onto their 710. i have sold it for 2 years and have never successfully used the external memory card. my coworkers have said they've heard of people watching Dave chappelle on their phone from downloads, how do you get the data to the card.

Once they settle, I will probably opt to return my phone but stay with Verizon.

What's the best V710 alternative at Verizon if you're into:

1. Reception
2. Sound Quality
3. Good Voice Recognition
4. Games
5. Bluetooth
6. Camera
7. Speakerphone
8. MP3 ringtones (and ideally, player)

I guess I love the phone except for the bluetooth issue, the limited memory options for MP3 use, and the fact that my screen is showing deep scratches where it rubs against each button cap.

Hi..I got a cell from Verizon wireless..Its a Motorola V710...Here is my problem..Since verizon is chargeing for ringtones,I came to about a software where I can create my ringotne and then send it to my cellphone as ringtone.For some reason,when I begin my download to my cell,I can NEVER opn my MP3 ringtone.I then contact Verizon and this is what they said to in my email "Verizon Wireless has requested that Motorola not include Mobile Phone Tools
Multimedia Studio functionality in the V710."I think this is gay because they are obviously trying to make money by offering ringtones thru there site instead of having their customer download Mp3 to thier cell due to piracy..Can someone tell me how I can send my custom ringtone to my cellphone si...

Workaround to transfer MP3 to phone from TF card to phone memory without using BitPim or Data Cable:

If you have a TF card, just put the MP3 on the TF card (using your pc and a card reader). Then put the TF card in the V710, and go to one of the MP3's on it. Choose the option to Send as Message and put in a bogus email address (like 5555555@verizon.com, so you dont get charged the 25cents). Go to your Outbox and view that failed message. You will be able to save it to your phone's memory from the Outbox.

I am looking for bluetooth headset recommendations for my phone, or future phone. I was wondering if someone could also explain why some are bluetooth 1.2 and others are 1.1, and what that means.

I bought a used HS820 bluetooth headset w/o any accessories.

I figured how to turn on and off, but don't know the other commands or what the buttons are for. Can not find a manual on Moto website. Anybody know where to get the manual or can write-up the instructions?

Any way to reset the access code to default, i.e. a master reset function?

Okay, i tried to send a .midi file to my phone from my comp and it says PACKET DATA and says that for a bit and then the phone blacks out for a second and then has NO SERVICE for like a second or two. Its been doing this for a couple hours repeating the process every minute or so. I cant make a call because of the NO SERVICE thing that appears every reset. How can i prevent myself from getting the message i sent so i'll stop! I'm already on Phone #5 and not looking to go for #6. Thanks for your help.

We have been hearing next week for months now? Is it for real or not?

On the back of the phone there is a socket to connect an external antenna, (you have to remove the circular plastic). Does anyone know?
1-If using this external antennas actually improves reception.
2-The best place to get one.
3-Why Motorola doesn't make them.
When I asked people at Verizon stores nobody seems to know anything about this and I had the same experience with other phones when I had AT&t or Cingular.
