Way to fix the outside display? Mine is blank

Every once and again something will come up on the outer display of my phone, but for the most part it is just blank. With the upcoming lawsuit of which I am eligible what should I do at this point? Should I try and return the phone now for a replacement? Do they even have replacement V710s at this point? If I got a replacement could I still be eligible for the C.A.? Also, this phone hasn't had any firmware or software updates or anything, should I look into that to see if it would fix the outer display problem?

Settlement Question?

I have read through the threads and I can't find a straight up answer to this question: In order to take part in this settlement did we need to sign up beforehand or do we just need to fill out the claim form and mail it in?

Thanks in advance,

Need replacement earclip for HS850

The earclip for my HS850 is cracked (pretty flimsy design). Can anyone advise if replacements are available, and from where? I just need the earclip, the headset itself is fine.

Better belt clip?

Can I please get suggestions on where to get a better belt clip that what came with the v710? The phone has a cheap plastic case that will not survive it being dropped, yet the belt clip leaves a great deal to be desired. The spring is so weak that out of two I tried one barely keep it in the closed position and the other doesn't at all. It slips off the belt way too easily.

I'm looking for one that hopefully doesn't require gluing a button to the back of the phone. Swivel would be nice but isn't mandatory. Leather case is not my first choice since it adds bulk making it harder to slide it into my pocket or the side pocket on my business carrying bag, but if I have no choice I'll consider it, as I will a glue-on button.

Thanks!

Trans-Flash Card

Hey all, i'm having a problem with my transflash card/reader on my phone. The phone will not recognize the transflash card in the phone, i have two cards and tried them both, however it will read it in my computer using the adapter. I was fed up so i tried going to storage devices in the phone menu and pushed the card in and out a few times and it showed up on one of them. I got excited and transferred two photos and then i tried to mark a few and transfer then and the phone froze. I took out the battery and put it back in and the transflash card won't read. Anyone have any ideas? S/W version 8700_01.40.0R

Thanks

What are some Bluetooth enabled devices that supports file or object transfers?

Guys other than a computer or PDC what other devices supports either object exchange or file transfer features? My car that is bluetooth wouldn't be considered an object exchange would it? I'm thinking not, but what other stuff is there?

Where I am currently living, verizon service doesn't work. If I wanted to leave verizon now, before the hearing in January, would I check the box reserved for those no longer affiliated with verizon, or would i check option number two? I ask this because the form does not say that a refund will be given (for the phone itself) for anyone no longer a customer with verizon.

Does our V710/V810 do anything that the RAZR (if it ever comes out) won't do?

Is the RAZR going to be better than our phone? Besides no antenna and is smaller is it missing anything that our phone does?

Question for those keeping VZW service, but wanting $$ back to buy a new phone (option 3)

As the claims statement is written, it is extremely vague as to how much we will be refunded to spend on a new phone. Option 3 reads: "I want to return my Motorola V710 telephone, with or without acccesories, for a refund up to the purchase price of a new cellular phone, but keep my Verizon Wireless service."

To my eye, this implies that if we paid,say,$300 for our V710s when they first came out,we can choose option 3 and buy a $599 Samsung SCH i730 without paying the $299 difference in their purchase prices. This is nice, but doesn't make sense, unless their lawyers are idiots (no lawyer stab intended).

I imagine what it INTENDS to say is that we can use UP TO the total initial purchase price of our V710 towards a new phone. Thus, if we ...

So are we supposed to wait for the Claim form to be mailed out to us before sending it?

Or can we just print the form from online now and send it?

V710 Settlement.... Question about Insurance

Does anyone know how verizon is handling crediting the customer back the money for the insurance purchased throughout the two year agreement for the V710?
I believe this should be credited as well.
Thoughts......

Settlement Answers

Much Like all of you I thought that Verizon's Claims form was misleading so I decided to take a long look at the Settlement Agreement that was posted on VZ's Legal page. Here is what I found:

http://www.verizonwireless.com/pdfs...t_Agreement.pdf »

Pg. 5 Line 27 (x) "Refund Credit" means a Credit that may be used towards the purchase of a Verizon Wireless telephone and accessories on the same terms and conditions available to new Verizon Wireless customers in the amount of (i) the actual amount paid by a Customer for a Motorola V710 telephone and Accessories on presentation of proof of the amount paid for the telephone and/or Accessories or (ii) $200 if the Customer does not have proof of the amounts paid for the telephone and/or Acce...

Best way to record saved voice mail messages?

My voice mail is rapidly filling up and there are some messages I'd like to save elsewhere, such as on my computer. Anyone know a good way of doing this? Playing from speaker to a microphone doesn't really do much. Is there a way to plug something from the headphone out jack on the phone to a Line in on my computer and record that? Any thoughts?
