LG VX-7000

With the LG VX7000, does anyone know how to make T9 the default for text messaging so that I do not have to constantly change from Abc mode to T9.

Also, I purchased a rapid car charger through eBay that said it fit the VX7000 phone. I don't see how it can fit unless it goes into the headset input. Does anyone know of any hidden places where this generic car charger may connect to my phone?

I am aware that you can get upgraded software for the VX7k...what are the differences in the software...how is it updated?..any big, noticable changes?..thanx

I currently have the VX6000, and when I used a wired headset with a button on the wire that allowed me to start or stop a call, it worked on 2 other older phones, but the 6000 ignored the button. Does this work again in the 7000?
(the button was the equivalent of hitting the send and end keys)
Just wondering because my 6000 is cracking and I have been eyeballing the 7000 for a while now.

on the verizon website it says that its black but what does that mean? does it mean that when you flip it down then its black instead of blue?? because i want to get that phone unless its black

Does anyone here know of any proven signal strength boosters / solutions? I live in a "garden" condo in Chicago with thick concrete walls. Therefore, my reception is very bad and spotty. No matter what service, it is bad in my apartment. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as any sort of signal booster or antenna which can be attached or anything? Being "unwired" would be nice, but not absolutely critical.

I downloaded some mp3 ringtones on my phone by pixplace...when i check my memory it says "21% full" but then when i try to record voice messages, the phone says "memory full", what's wrong with my phone?

What are the capabilities with the data cable...any one please help!

ok so i d/l a midi ringtone and sent it to my phone thourgh a picture message from pixplace

but when i get the message on my phone when it opens all it says it "failed to play pix msg" i dont know what to do. or why it isnt working.

any one know how to get it to work?

Can you check the status of how many people are in your phonebook? Can you also check the status of the memory on the phone besides the kb like how room you have for pictures and videos, etc. Is there a way to look this up in the phone. If so let me know. Thanks in advance 😁

does it take 24 hrs for the vzwpix thing to start working?

i registered yesterday and everytime i sent something (ringtone, pic, etc) all i got was "you have a video or pic waiting for you at vzwpics.com" but now all of a sudden it works

i'm trying it on another phone as well to confirm..

anyway..what are your experiences with it?...i thought this might be useful for ppl getting frustrated with that msg

is there anyway to change the red banners on the top and bottom (of the main lcd) to another color?

Does anyone know if you can change the length of time that the backlight stays on for the keypad? It seems like most cell phones have this as an option, but I can't figure it out on the VX-7000. The light goes out too fast!

I have been trying for some time now to download ringtones, but have not been successful. I saved mp3's from www.walmart.com and renamed them to ".mid" I have registered at www.vzwpix.com.

The problem I am facing is that I am unable to log in to www.vzwpix.com. A message reading "Login Failure Authentication Failure" is displayed every time I try logging in. I was wondering if anybody else has had this trouble, and what they did to remedy this.

Do any of you have the jabra bluetooth headset for non bluetooth phones for the 7000 and tell me how it works and if it is worth a buy..thanks

I bought my VX7000 from the Verizon website and activated it via their instruction. All has been fine for several weeks now.

Today, I switched my service to a Family Share plan. Part of the switch involved me calling *228 and updating my roaming list.

Now...all of a sudden, I have the Verizon Wireless banner that everyone complains about. I didn't have it before. Small annoyance I admit, but WTF?

What happened?

does anyone know how to delete recorded ring tones (the ones i made myself with the record ringtone option)? thanks.

I was on verizon site today and they dont have blue anymore, its just black. Is black just a new color or is there something different with the black one.
Can someone help me out with this.
Also does Verizon or Sprint have better Nationwide Coverage?
