Motorola V400

Since the V400 has been out for a while have most of the known issues been corrected in the newest software releases? For example, thanks to you and brettflan I hacked mine for MUCH better (louder) earpiece volume, if I bought a brand new V400 today would I still need to hack it for better volume or was that just an issue on early releases of the v400? thanks...

i downloaded some mp3 ringtones for this phone and when i got them there is a lock by name of them i was wondering is there a way i can transfer them to my pc with or without the mobile phone tools?If i wanted to delete them can i? second question i have 3 mp3 ringtones and im usin 8% of my phones memory is there a way i can see what is taking up the memory so i can decide if i want to keep it or delete them?

I have a new star trek tone. How do I add a sound when I turn on my 🙂 phone

i manage to create mp3 tones and put them on my cellphone through p2kman, i can play them on my phone perfectly fine.....but, when i apply them as my ringtone they do not work (as in when people call there is no sound) i have no clue what the problem could be...

After a lot of research and attempts I finally figured out how to create and load custom ringtones for the v400. These ringtones are the exact same that are available for any of the Nokia phones. I personally find this nice because they're a lot louder, they're easier to distinguish as a ringtone as opposed to the nice MP3's (which I often don't hear when the radio is on or in a public place) and best of all, they're 100% FREE!!!!! You don't have to buy the ringtone and you don't have to pay to download anything!

My question... Is there anybody out there who would be interested in knowing how to do load these types of rings onto their phones? If there's enough people out there who are interested, then I'll create some direc...

i found some games on the motclub.com site and could not upload it to my phone.. it says unknown file type and that the cell phone rejected it.. help please..

i just got this phone and would like some tips on how to use the camera feature to all its potential. I know its a camera phone and the pic quality is lacking but i still wanna take pics with this thing. When taking a picture when should i increase or decrease the brightness level? any tips on how to take good pis wold e helpful thanks in advance.

have a few questions I need some clarification with. I hope that someone can help.

1. I know the phone has 5MB internal memory, can text messages also be stored in the phone memory? It appears that its only storing it in my SIM memory and I want it to be stored in the phone.

2. Can i copy all sim phone number entries to phonebook memory and choose only phonebook memory as main phonebook so that I dont have to see same entries twice?

Handset Manager data kit, this is really the BEST data kit I have seen in my life...I was checking around all over the stores in CA, there were nothing can satisfy my needs for my Motorola V400.
I found this data kit in while visiting my friends in New York, he introduced this great product to me (he owns a phone store) and I was so surprised about the product features. This kit allow me to modify my wallpaper, change ring tones, modify pictures, send pictures to my pals, sign on internet anytime, and IT ALSO CHARGES MY PHONE! How come this product is not in the chain near by my hometown? Some company should really import this great thing to US.

i can send pics to a email just great but how would i send mucis from a pc to my v400? i tried usin my gmail account to send a music file from my pc and it said the email has failed

I have one of these but Im getting rid of it tomorrow, but i have some pictures on there that i wanted to keep but cant figure out how to send them to anyone or to an email. Everytime i try, i get an error.

Anyone know what to do?

Ok heres my problem. I followed the step-by-step in espanol on MotClub, up until the PST (or the "Autodetección e instalación del P2K Driver" part) instillation. It shows a picture of the hardware manager with:

?Motorola MCU Data Logger
?Motorola DSP Logger
?Motorola Test Command

This list does not appear on my hardware manager at all! Before and after the instillation of the PST, it never has appeared. Also, when I go to modify the registration, the (!) doesnt dissapeer from the USB option. Please help!

I have a v400 that has been flashed/flexed to v600. I like the beep ringtone that I had with my v60, it is only available as a reminder. Can anyone share a hex edit to make the beep tone available as a ringtone or share the beep ringtone as a download from one of the phones that have it as a ringtone (i.e. v720,v60,v66,...)?

If I miss a call and it rolls over to VM I get the icon for text message at the top of my screen instead of the icon for VM. When I go to the Message Center icon it shows that I have one message in my Inbox and no voicemails. When I open the text message in my InBox it tells me that I have received a VM. There will be a new VM but it never shows up as being there in the Message Center

Have I changed some setting that causes me to get a text message for the VM instead of notifying me that I have a VM? Is it my service (Cingular) or just the phone.

I recently got a V400, but am having trouble putting on a banner that has my name so i can identify the phone. Is this not possible? Any help would be great, thanks!

i just got my motorola v400 yesterday and i have no clue how to find the ringtones geiven with the phonei went to menu, multimedia,soiunds, and then i found those ringotnes which really done even sound like some. are they really the onli ringtones on the phone or is there another way? please respond a.s.a.p. thanks u in advance for ure help

Hey guys, new here. I was just wondering if there was a way to get rid of the "used memory" display at the bottom when you are taking pictures with the camera. It takes up so much of the screen (about 1/4 of the screen) and you can't see the entire image. Thank guys.

First of all, let me say I'm pretty new at this phone stuff. I just got a v400, and I was wondering...In my plan, it's 1 cent per kilobyte, (which is going to screw me up when I get my phone bill) I skimmed through the Cingular site to see if there was a plan with free internet, like in t-Mobile where you pay an extra 4 dollars for unlimited internet. I'm asking because if there's such a thing, it's probably a more reasonable fee than 1 cent per kilobyte, considering I probably spent 7 dollars worth of kilobytes on the internet already. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
