Answering

Does anyone know if the amount of answering rings can be changed on the e105? I miss incomming calls sometimes because the messages go to voice mail after just three rings.

A couple of quick SGH-E105 questions:

Here are a couple of quick questions regarding the SGH-E105 phone:

1. Can you upload wallpaper & ringtones via the PC connection data cable?

2. Are the buttons durable enough for extensive text messaging?

3. Does the headset/ear-bud jack have that same proprietary jack that the R225 has, where it has the flat metal ring around the connector?

4. Can this be used in Europe?

Thanks everyone!

e105 as modem

I've been trying to use my Samsung e105 as modem for dial-up. My laptop with Windows XP detects the phone as standard modem over IR, however, when I dial my ISP through the IR modem the phone always hangs up at exactly 60 seconds. It never go pass the "verifying user name and password..." stage. I double checked the user name and password and they are correct.

I can dial the ISP using the regular phone line just fine.

Has anyone run into this problem? I would like to access the Internet on the road occationally but not enough to sign up the for T-mobile's Internet service.

I've tried using T-mobile's Internet Manager software and it says no compatible device is found even though the infrared showed the phone is connected, and I ...

Hello Everyone!
Is is possible to use this phone as a modem for my laptop? I know the 105 is wireless network ready, but do you have to subscribe to t-zones in order to use the phone as a modem?

E105

I recently purchased an E105. I am very pleased with the handset except for the ring volume. When in vehicle I cannot hear phone ring over a/c and radio. Does any one know of a ring tone with higher pitch I can download?

Thanks in advance

IR?? Infrared??

I just bought the Samsung e105 and tried to beam a contact from a phone to this phone but it failed. I read one of the reviews here and they complained about the IR not working. Anyone help with this? I activate the IR on the phone and the little icon shows up, my sending phone shows that it's connecting to the Samsung e105 but then the transmission fails. ???
Otherwise it seems like a great phone (rats! no speaker phone option!)
help.
thanks,

display

Hi. Is it just me or is the screen display really "dull" and not bright? I don't get a crisp display some of the reviewers mentioned. How do I adjust the display or color so that it is crisp. My fiance has the Samsung E715 and the screen is great. My E105 however, is not so great. Is there another function that I have to adjust, besides the "brightness" feature? Help me make my screen crisp and clear and bright!

Outder display on e-105

I'm currently using tmobile's big ol' pocketpc phone. At least for this summer, I want to get something nice and small, so I've been checking out the samsung online here.

Ive got a question for you folks who have it -- is the display on the outside backlit? So I can see the caller id in the dark?

Samsung Phones Taking a LONG Time to download Contacts

🙄 I've got T-Mobile telling me now that their phones are now taking up to five minutes to download the contacts into the sim chip!?! That seems crazy! First ran into this with a Samsung SGH-E105 but found the same thing in all the other Samsungs we tried. Everything else about the phones was great, but this is annoying! Anyone else dealing with this?
