Samsung Phones Taking a LONG Time to download Contacts

🙄 I've got T-Mobile telling me now that their phones are now taking up to five minutes to download the contacts into the sim chip!?! That seems crazy! First ran into this with a Samsung SGH-E105 but found the same thing in all the other Samsungs we tried. Everything else about the phones was great, but this is annoying! Anyone else dealing with this?

I have tried this with the Samsung E105, the Nokia 6610 and the Motorola V300. All to no avail. The Nokia and Motorola received a message, but nothing that I could use to enter contacts.
