Got the clout Today

Pick up the phone today. They downloaded all my # into the phone and added my pictures. Had to charge the phone for over 2 hours. Than the fun Began. tried to pair the phone to my 2004 Acura TL. This should of been an easy job, as i have done this before with my 8350, and it worked fine. No such luck with the VX8370. This phone wouldn't pair. I don't no if its the phone or my car. I believe it's probably the phone as the car had no problem pairing before. went back to the store, they couldn't do it either. Tried to pair to a bluetooth headset in store, said the headset must be low on battery, and wouldn't pair. The suggest I go to the dealer. I'll play the game but I'm sure it's the phone. Any body have any suggestions. Not Happy.

Get an LG Clout here!

I received my new LG CLout today.(7/31/10) I will post a full review in a day or two but yes, this phone is a winner!

Here's where to get an LG Clout....

This dealer will send it to you Priority Mail and free if you are eligible for an upgrade. (Heck he sent mine Express Mail, which I thought was cool of him) He is an authorized Verizon dealer in Illinois. I found him through Howard Forums and Ebay.

Contact Paul at Wireless Express (800)531-6041
or e-mail: cell_sells@yahoo.com 24/7

He tells me he's got a ton in stock.

Brief Review

Copied this from another forum:

Well let me say that yes you can talk with the flip closed, call comes in hold the side speakerphone key, the bottom right button and answer
the call, when you want to hang up press the speakerphone button again.
You can also make a call without opening the flip, press the play/ pause button then press the voice command button.
then say call "mike" and it will call the person and you are on speaker phone.
It works alot like the motorolas that have that capability.
top right button is camera key,top left is volume rocker, which you can use to toggle 3 different text sizes.
Signal is very good on this phone, went down a road today that a lot of phones break up and drop calls and didnt even have
a hi...

Where to buy the clout

🙂Spoke to a verizon rep this afternoon, said where to buy the clout, since they are probably not going to carry the phone. Call several of the verizon private stores one said they are getting it in tomorrow afternoon and that with a 2 year agreement would be $40. With a one year an extra 50, not bad will follow up tomorrow

What?

Hi! I called that number you gave me, but that lady wasn't there, so I talked to a guy about the phone, and first he said he didn't know anything about it. Then he looked it up, and said well you'll have to order through us, but it will cost you $252.00. I told him I was a Verizon customer, but he said I would have to pay full price for the phone. Then he said it was still being tested, something about the Bluetooth. He said he could order it, but I'm NOT paying that amount. He didn't sound real sure about what he was talking about. Naturally, I am totally frustrated. How did you get yours for so cheap? I just told him thank you for the info and hung up. I sent the other website an e-mail. Can you help me out any further? He asked me if I ha...

New Phones

It's funny when you call verizon direct very few people there no about the phone. You have to asked them to do research and look up the data about the clout. I live in Long Island which is in New York. I asked the gal to look up to see which stores carried the phone in my area. After giving me the number of several stores like target, walmart i made some calls most clerks from the stores had no clue about the phone, one new about it. A small private verizon franchise store. I hope he's right. Will let everybody no when i get to even see what it looks and feels like.

Clout Data Plan

Finally some good news in this economy: The $9.99 data plan on the LG Clout is optional. It is not mandatory.

Where is the LG VX 8370!

Talked to a Verizon rep, and she called at least 3 to 4 places where this phone could possibly be! NO ONE has it, yet it was released July 12th she said. Can anyone help me locate this phone? Why does no Verizon retailer have it? This is really making me mad. It was released, yet NO ONE has it!! She didn't even understand why. If anyone can give me some info or help on how to go about locating this phone and where, I would really appreciate it!! I am looking to upgrade, and I don't want a touchscreen. Where on earth is this phone????? 😡

Clout Review

One of the guys on Howard's posted this review. Can't wait till mine arrives next week!
This thing sounds sweeettt!

I have had this phone since Friday and thus far I am very pleased with it. Since I don't have a data plan, I went into the service menu and disabled the EV-DO to save on battery. I charged the phone Friday night and used it for a handful of calls over the weekend, and the battery is still showing as full midday on Monday. The overall build quality is very good with a solid hinge, responsive keys, and good screens (my only niggle being the D-Pad which feels a little on the cheap side to me). The back plate is a grippy rubber material that makes the phone stay in hand easier and also gives better purchase when pulling it from...

Very nice update to the 8360. I still have the 8300 (going on 5 1/2 years). The 8300 just keeps on going!!!! Adjustable text size is a plus. LG has a great line with this series!!!! 🙂

Anyone Own This One Yet?

Does anyone own this phone yet? If so please let me know what you think. I'm due for an upgrade, but not crazy about the touchscreens. I have the LG 8360, but just want something different. Is the lighting on the keypad white? It has been out since July 12th, but only at authorized retail dealers. Just found that out. Wanted some info before I go look at it. Thanks ahead of time. 🙂

Data or no Data

All of us agree that LG VX8360 on VZW should be a phone that doesn't require a data plan.

With that said, does the LG Clout require one?

Battery/standby time are sweet. 🤣

Anyone know???
