Blackberry 8350i for Boost Mobile

Will this phone work for Boost Mobile Unlimited plan? Can you use text? Not so much concerned with BB email..just talk, text, PTT, and web...

Nextel Text Message Issues?

I had a Nextel 7100i for a little over 2.5 years. I could hardly text from it. I switched to Sprint and got the 8330 Curve in May '08. Could text all day with ease with it, but, Sprint converage sucked in my area. I am switching back to Nextel and will be receiving the 8350i in a few days. How is the text messaging service on it? Any problems? Thanks!

It would have been a better idea to have this phone on Rev-A

I am looking forward to getting my hands on one in either case.

How about a Hybrid?

Does Anybody know if there's anything on the horizon with a "hybrid" Sprint/Iden/Cdma BlackBerry. You would get the best of both worlds. Cdma for your cellular & data,Plus the Iden ptt, not q-talk??? Or have they given up on the hybrids?

Feedback and Echo

My son is using the Curve 8350i and when people speak with him they hear their own voices echoing back to them a second or two later. Very annoying. He doesn't hear it at his end.

Has anyone here been told of this problem by people to whom they are speaking?

Blackberry 8330

If you dont need DC just get an 8330 it has faster internet, faster texting, better GPS, Sprint TV, Music Store you choose! Most people liked DC because it was unlimited and you could talk for free. Go with the 8330 you still have great options like Simply Everthing with unl voice. If thats too rich for your blood try either UNL text or mobile to mobile because if they have Nextel you can talk for free anyway! Ha i am so cool 😎

Provisioning Time!!!!!

It seems everyone has forgotten that in the past with the 7510,7520,and 7100i, they all took time to provision the email and web. This handset is really no different. I have activated a few so far and they all have provisioned within an hour, which is actually faster than the older handsets.

Make sure you are on the right rate plan for this handset, because if not, it will cause the handset to provision alot slower. The newer plans with data included are the best route to go, because BB email and web are already included.

Is anyone else having major Nextel BB 8350i activation errors and strange network behavior?

😕 Now my Nextel BlackBerry 8350i radio will not stay on. At first it wouldn't connect to any part of the network, for voice or data. I couldn't change PINs on the BIS site because my IMEI and PIN were not recognized as those of a Nextel device. The wait times for customer service are greater than one hour each time I call (before being disconnected after getting very standard and ineffective troubleshooting advice from representatives.) Something stinks here... 😡

Wait...am I activating a Nextel phone or an iPhone 3G? This seems mighty familiar.
