Blackmarket Stores

Any suggestion on blackmarket app stores?

What do you think is the best one?

I have used:

4Shared
Aptoide
Blapktmarket
AppPlanet (when it worked)
Blackmarket Store

So far I have had the best luck with 4shared and Aptoide..... 4Shared kinda bugs me to use because you never really know what you are going to get. There is alot of spam in there... Never had an issue with any viruses or anything though.

Suggestions?

pantech marauder

I just got a new pantech marauder the other day. It replaced my two year old Motorola Droid. I noticed that it does -not- have a blinking light to indicated I missed a call or received a message. It appears there is a small LED but it does not light up. The Verizon store folks could not seam to figure out how to turn on this feature. Any ideas out there?

Motorola reneges on Ice Cream Sandwich software update

Turns out they were just kidding, and the Atrix 4G is stuck with Gingerbread.

Motorola Atrix 4G owners will not get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update the company promised them, according to a newly revised upgrade chart. The phones will continue to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, dealing another blow to the integrity of Google's upgrade program.

The Atrix 4G was one of a few lucky devices tapped to receive the Android 4 upgrade in the third quarter of this year. However, the quarter has come a...

Accidentally locked my new 2day old Hydro!!

Crying or Very sad Embarassed

I am work today, I'm an event producer, Hyde Park Jazz fest is happening, I'm multitasking and answered call from my husband, and hung up, thought I had hit the sleep button, but sadly did not! Stuck it back in my pocket and then the phone rang again, I pulled it out of pocket and answered call after hanging up that call from client, looked at screen saw I had text message and noticed the flick to unlock screen was not there, touched the screen and nothing, so I'm a lil rushed so I'm thinking, maybe the phone just froze, so I'll take battery out to reset it. But again the screen i've come to like and expect is still not, showing up. Take my phone to my assistant a lil geek of a girl and as soon as she looks at my phone, s...

Capacitive styluses.

I know there are limitations in their design based on how capacitive screens work, but all the ones I've seen have a large, bulbous tip. I'm guessing this is to ensure enough contact is made to register, but are there any other designs that would be more precise? I find that when using the larger tips like you usually see it ends up covering up what you're using in drawing applications, making it only marginally more useful than just using your finger in the first place.

HTC One X Rooting Question

So, I've been weighing the pros and cons of rooting my HTC One X. I'm tired of all the bloatware draining my battery and hogging up a decent chunck of my memory. Is there any one site that has the root software that is better than another? Also, what is your opinion or personal experience at rooting your Android?

Note: I'm not stupid and I'm not looking for a lecture on why I shouldn't do it. It's gonna happen either way, I'm just looking for advice and opinions.

Data usage monitors

Anybody have any experience with any data usage monitoring apps? I'm often dealing with customer either lying or just ignorant to what is/isn't using data. I have heard there are apps that will break down which specific apps have used how much data. I am going to try some out so I know what I can recommend to customers so they can see exactly where the data is going, and wondered if there was anything anybody on here would recommend.

SMS App Recommendations

Hello,

I just got a new Android device (TMobile, Samsung Galaxy S II) and have been researching SMS apps but cannot really tell them apart. Any recommendations for a good SMS app?

Also, for the tech wizards here, how does one override text messaging going through one's carrier vs. an SMS app? Thus far I have looked at Go SMS Pro and IM+. I am aware of KikMessenger but something about it doesn't sit right with me but maybe I should reconsider since it is so popular.

Rooting my Mytouch 4g

Yeah horrible phone, I know......

I'm having issues with battery life as a of late, it is not as a result of my usage, usage has actually decreased. Purchased a new battery for it already, and I have wanted to root it for a while anyway.....

Any suggestions on a good rom to use?

I already know how to do it, but just wanting to know how I should set it up..... I'm assuming that there is no Rom for ICS for this phone as of yet or that there willl ever be.

Carrier IQ - What can I do?

Hello,

So I recall there being a brouhaha in the tech world earlier this year about Carrier IQ but in all the articles, blog posts, etc. I do not recall what the final word was on the issue and what, if anything, device owners can do.

I just got a new smartphone and downloaded an app which detected Carrier IQ was on my phone. What can I do about this and should I worry about it?
