Agonizing over Droid Razr Maxx HD From Droid X

Agonizing over Droid Razr Maxx HD...
I would be going from Droid X. I Read alot and have music downloads too. I sell on eBay, I do alot of emailing and surfing. I run with the kids to and from one event or another and take care of an elderly parent, all this doesn't leave me with time to do much else. Such as try out a new phone....
I Love my DROID X!! But, tis time to go for the upgrade.
I could list all of the pros, and there are quite a few... but let me just say that the Razr has a proven track record and Motorola has surpassed first class in durability.
I can't seem to wrap my head around the cost and while I do know I can get it for much less from other sites rather than directly from Verizon, I have also considered the LG Intu...

Sony Smart Watch »

Anyone else heard of/ seen this? Seems like it might be okay. The reviews on Verizon are 50/50. I dont trust the reviews on there anyway. Any input on this product? THink it might be a decent christmas gift, but I dont want to give someone crap.

Newbie question - Droid X2 OS v# ?????

First off hey to everyone. New here and hope to learn a lot. I just read the whole article about Samsung winning the ok to sell the new Nexus "mini" for now that will have the new Android OS, Jelly bean. I want to know what I have, Gingerbread/Icecream Sandwich, what gives ? I know you have to do the entire OS update through a Wifi connection if I'm not mistaken, but I'm used to normal PCs and basically installing whatever you want, what else can be gained if anything from my phone I have now until I can upgrade in a year Sad ? Thanks for the help. Jon

Android 4.2 Rumors

What have you heard? This is what I have found on Digital Trends.

According to Android and Me, taking information from a trusted source (the same individual that shared info on the LG Nexus), Android 4.2 is going to include a large number of changes. The most exciting rumored improvements are a new Customization Center, revamped Nexus program, and battery-saving Project Roadrunner. We already know what to expect from the next Nexus device, but until now Android 4.2 rumors have been a scarce commodity.

Customization Center
The alleged new Customization Center provides a central place where users can change languages, backgrounds, launchers, ringtones, etc. The options can be expanded via Google Play as well, but this announcement alon...

Blackmarket Stores

Any suggestion on blackmarket app stores?

What do you think is the best one?

I have used:

AppPlanet (when it worked)
Blackmarket Store

So far I have had the best luck with 4shared and Aptoide..... 4Shared kinda bugs me to use because you never really know what you are going to get. There is alot of spam in there... Never had an issue with any viruses or anything though.

pantech marauder

I just got a new pantech marauder the other day. It replaced my two year old Motorola Droid. I noticed that it does -not- have a blinking light to indicated I missed a call or received a message. It appears there is a small LED but it does not light up. The Verizon store folks could not seam to figure out how to turn on this feature. Any ideas out there?

Motorola reneges on Ice Cream Sandwich software update

Turns out they were just kidding, and the Atrix 4G is stuck with Gingerbread.

Motorola Atrix 4G owners will not get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update the company promised them, according to a newly revised upgrade chart. The phones will continue to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, dealing another blow to the integrity of Google's upgrade program.

The Atrix 4G was one of a few lucky devices tapped to receive the Android 4 upgrade in the third quarter of this year. However, the quarter has come a...

Accidentally locked my new 2day old Hydro!!

Crying or Very sad Embarassed

I am work today, I'm an event producer, Hyde Park Jazz fest is happening, I'm multitasking and answered call from my husband, and hung up, thought I had hit the sleep button, but sadly did not! Stuck it back in my pocket and then the phone rang again, I pulled it out of pocket and answered call after hanging up that call from client, looked at screen saw I had text message and noticed the flick to unlock screen was not there, touched the screen and nothing, so I'm a lil rushed so I'm thinking, maybe the phone just froze, so I'll take battery out to reset it. But again the screen i've come to like and expect is still not, showing up. Take my phone to my assistant a lil geek of a girl and as soon as she looks at my phone, s...

Capacitive styluses.

I know there are limitations in their design based on how capacitive screens work, but all the ones I've seen have a large, bulbous tip. I'm guessing this is to ensure enough contact is made to register, but are there any other designs that would be more precise? I find that when using the larger tips like you usually see it ends up covering up what you're using in drawing applications, making it only marginally more useful than just using your finger in the first place.
