Remote PC

What in your opinion is the best Remote Desktop Connection program out there? Any good free ones. I don't just mean a wifi remote when I can use the phone as keyboard and mouse, I have one of those. I mean to connect to it when I am away. Are there any you know of that run on 3g (or in my case) 4g network?

Verizon for Android

I have a Nexus One (unlocked) and would like better coverage.

Verizon works well in my area. Do they offer
a SIM card only option I can put in my phone?

Thanks!

Rooting an EVO

I'm a bit behind the times and as a result, I'm using an EVO I bought off somebody recently.

I want to root it, but I have zero experience doing so. From what I understand, I can pretty much just go online and download the software onto my phone. I'm not asking how to do it; I'll figure that out. I'm just asking which root I should use.

What's your favorite?

Study: Amazon Trouncing Google in Android App Revenue

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2402443,00.asp »

Amazon's decision to pursue its own app store appears to be paying off, according to Friday data from analysis firm Flurry.

Flurry examined a "basket of top apps" that were released for Apple's iOS, the Android Market/Play Store, and Amazon's own Appstore. The firm found that for every dollar spent on the iOS version of the app, 89 cents were spent on the app within the Amazon Appstore, but just 23 cents was spent on the Google Play version of the app.

In total, the apps covered 11 million daily active users, Flurry said. The study covered 45 days over January and February of this year.

Flurry found that its data held steady versus a similar study it conducted last year, when An...

Galaxy Note opinons?

I am currently using Galaxy Note (AT&T version) and I am quite satisfied.
But since it has huge display, there would be other opinions for this phone.
Any experience?

Xoom

I have been putting off rooting mine for months now. Last night I took the step and got it done. In my surfing I found out that the bootloader can be unlocked on this device. I don't understand why they dont do this with all of their phones. Also the xoom came out after it was standard practice for Motorola to lock the bootloader on their devices. Im glad thay didnt though because now ima overclock to 1.7 GHZ and install ICS (which hasn't been pushed to 4g xoom yet).

Hooray for hackers.

Why all Android books UK based?

Can someone please explain to me why all the magazines and books in US bookstores on the Android platform or Android apps are UK based (pricing is all or mostly in pounds, addresses for subscription services are in UK, etc.,)? Android is via Google, an American company, thus I don't get why pretty much all (OK, I found 1 written and published in the US) of the magazines and books coming out of the UK. All input helpful and welcome.

Also, I have asked this before with no response so another try... Can anyone recommend a good book or magazine to pick up for someone who is new to the Android platform (first smartphone so the learning curve is feeling a little steep)?

Cloud storage

How secure are they, and are there any privacy issues I should be concerned with. In particular the box cloud service, not dropbox.
