Outage?

Anyone heard anything about a national outage for incoming calls? A good friend of mine just stopped getting incoming calls, and was told by customer service that there's a "national outage" and it won't be fixed for at least two more hours! 😳

What've you got to show?

For those of you that paid the extra cash for a camera phone... I have a nice little secret to share with you.. a free one.

So, my friend, who is a technical genius compared to me, sent me the link to snapnpost.com ; a web photo log where you can simply e-mail pics from your phone and it will upload them. I thought maybe it was another scam where you can upload like five pictures and then after that they slam you with a $30.00 a month bill if you want say six photographs rather than five... but it turned out, and this is rare indeed, I was wrong.

Pretty damn nice how that works out.

Unbelievable

I can't believe the nerve of your company. Even the website lies. Of course it corrects the lie in fine print, so they can't get sued, but the sales staff seems to be anything for an add. If you select regional plan it shows all of the state as covered as well as NJ & CT. What a freaking Crock of ^@#*. In large print it says NO ROAMING. The fine print says "as long as your calling from the T-mobile coverage area." ... Every plan is No Roaming from your coverage area, that is what a coverage area is. I don't know how you can live with yourselves. Unless of course you are sociopaths. 😈

Handspring VisorPhone & T-Mo

I know I'm dooming myself as an antique aficionado, however, does anyone out there know whether the Handspring (Visor, Jeff Hawkins, now part of PalmOne, etc) VisorPhone, which was shipped from the manufacturer, with a T-Mo SIM separate in the shipping box - is SIM locked?

I have spent untold hours with Handspring support, T-Mo support, 3 T-Mo Co. stores and the T-Mo "Unlock Specialist" Chris via email to no avail.
All I want to be able to do is stick a Deutsche Telekom (You Know...those guys over in Bonn that OWN T-Mo USA!) prepaid SIM in this sucker and use it in Germany next month!

T-Mo reps can't even tell me whether a DT SIM will work in the phone whether or not its SIM ( or subsidy) locked. Much less being able to check for me w...

Coverage in Arkansas & N. Calif?

Looking at the coverage map, I now see the area from Little Rock south to Texarkana has coverage albeit noted as roaming coverage. I am particularly interested in coverage in the Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village, Arkansas area. Also, I travel to the Bay Area of Northern California a great deal... specifically the San Jose and Fremont areas. I would like to know what people's experience is with T-Mobile coverage in these areas has been.

I am currently with SprintPCS and have been very satisfied with the coverage I have found as I have traveled around the country. HOWEVER, I have grown increasing frustrated with Sprint's attitude toward data usage where a phone handset is involved and their "luddite" stance toward Bluetooth. The custom...

Is Number portability within T-Mobile Allowed?

Can I do the following

  1. purchase a new T-Mobile line.
  2. Move my current number to my new line
  3. Cancel my current line

Or am I trying to be too smart for my own good?

This way one can buy a new phone at new customer rates AND keep their number!
