Roaming issues?

I am currently in Europe for vacation and my phone with a T-Mobile SIM card has not picked up the local cell provider. I am getting a local pre-paid SIM card to this is not a issue for me.

However, I am concerned why my phone has not picked anything up. Is this a T-Mobile issue or local?

Thanks!

Is it just me.....

... or has T-Mobile stopped launching 3G in new markets? ๐Ÿคจ

I know they're hard at work on HSPA+ and that's awesome for people who are currently able to use 3G, but what about the rest of us?

Looks like it's time to move. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ lol

What's the scoop on the Sprint merger rumors?

Just seeing if anyone here has anything they can comment on, whether this is just posturing or if the merger talk is serious ot in advanced stages.

any ideas?

I just read this last night and it a bit concerned. I know that I shouldn't have any need to be concerned but I am a little. Anyone got any opinions? I have been with T-Mobile for year and I am extremely happy with what they are offering.

Cliq XT questions

Hello everybody,

First off, I just wanted to say I lurked here for 1.5 years when I worked for TMobile. I was a customer of Voicestream when it first came around her in CT, then they moved onto TMobile...and the rest is history.

Anyway, enough of that. When I worked for TMobile, I got the G1 when it 1st was released. I loved the phone. I kept it after I left, and finally, my girlfriend and I decided we would splurge and get new phones. She was never a smart phone girl, but I talked her into it.

I always had bad luck with Motorola. When I worked at the store, I would give my honest opinions and tell of my past experiences with Motorola. I went through 8 Razrs through warranty exchanges before working there. While I worked t...

Ten Keys to Being Happy with your Service Provider

1. Check your bill EVERY month and make sure you understand every single charge on it, even if it doesn't change month to month.

2. Understand that YOU are responsible for keeping track of your usage (voice, internet, texting, etc). Your provider is not going to hold your hand when it gives you many options to do it yourself.

3. If you have a problem with your phone, do NOT call for support while talking on it! Make sure you have a way to get on a different phone, even a pay phone (calling 1800-xxx-xxxx is free on pay phones).

4. When on the phone with a rep, act professional when they are trying to help you. They are people too. The nicer you are, the more willing they are to help you and the easier it is to help. Do not rant ...

Upgrading questions

It's that time of the two years again, but I am totally in love with my Nokia 6301. It's battery is about kaput on me, and it hates reading my sim card, but that's probably from my misuse of it, and the fact that I average 20k texts a month.
So I want something new. I've shuffled around my parent's phones, and tested some out, and I don't like hardly anything else as much as my nokia.
And it's not All nokias, either. There's the tiny resolution OS, and the high-resolution OS, and the High resolution one is Amazing, My mom has the low resolution one, and it sucks. So, I'm looking for a new phone that I would like as much as the 6301, be it the new nokia whose battery doesn't suck, or something else. Smart-T9 would be cool, where it remember...

Employee Question

I am a very accomplished sales rep and sales manager from another one of the top four, but thinking about jumping ship. Can someone tell me what targeted sales compensation is for a sales rep and an assistant manager at t-mobile, and a little about the comp plan, and what it is possible to make if you blow targets out of the water? If you are not comfortable with posting it on here, you can bb pin me at 30B83A10.

Many thanks in advance.

MyTouch 3G will be getting 2.2 after all.

How bout that! Tmo actually upgrading an Android smartphones software, that's surprising. Did the G1 even ever get ?any? software upgrades?

Worst of the big 4 for data services

in my reading i came across the info that 25% of t-mobile's network is gprs only (general packet radio service) which is the precurser to edge. came out in 97 i believe.

people complain about how slow edge is, but with t-mobile, outside of select urban centers with 3G - you're lucky if you even have edge.

Read the article last week that Google is stopping the online sell of Nexus One.

Anybody know when we can get one from the T-mobile store? if that will happen at all?

T-mo & android

how is it that the first carrier in the world to get android cant seem to get a decent android powered phone? Ever other carrier has passed them and continues to pass them with one bad ass device after another? Typical t-mo, always getting getting the short end of the stick.

Tmo is the !!ONLY!! company left that does this to it's customers. . .

Appearently Tmo is the only wireless company left that punishes it's customers for changing their rate plans by extending contracts. I asked if customers with Sprint have
*freedom* to make changes to their rate plans w/o it effecting a contract. Cause contracts are suppose to be for equipment upgrages !!ONLY!!

Tmo's the only one left that punishes it's customers for making a rate plan change.

Just out of curiosity...

...how many people (including roaming) does T-mobile cover? Just curious compared to at&t. I think Sprint & Verizon are pretty close in terms of voice & basic data when roaming areas are included. Just wondered if the T-mobile at&t agreements were about the same.
