in my reading i came across the info that 25% of t-mobile's network is gprs only (general packet radio service) which is the precurser to edge. came out in 97 i believe.
people complain about how slow edge is, but with t-mobile, outside of select urban centers with 3G - you're lucky if you even have edge.
...
25% doesn't exactly make you lucky to have edge it makes you 75% likely to have edge, so 25% would be unlucky to have

Don't feed the troll! =)
...
I am part of that 25% and it equals most rural areas and some suburban areas. That's why I'm slowly migrating all my lines over to Sprint.
...
And people say sprint doesn't add any new subs! LOL where is bluecoyote to see this, ohhh wait he wont it has nothing to do with the iphone or apple.
...
And what is worst about it is that even in rural areas where they are building out new coverage they are still using GPRS. We are talking towns of 20,000 in some cases. This is disappointing because I love T-Mobile for their excellent customer service and plans.
...
I didn't know this, but it is very, very dissapointing to know that GPRS !!STILL!! exists!
...
Me neither. I know enough not to consider them.
...
They are not a bad carrier I have used them for six years and still counting. They have decent coverage and excellent customer service. I rarely dropped call unless i was a rural area. They are just a little behind on 3G. If they had 3G in my area I probably wouldn't be using Sprint because the key reason I have them is because of better 3G coverage.

The article cma in out 97???? Im POSITIVE a lot has changed since 97!!! T-mobile wasnt even T-mobile in 97!!!
Cosnumer Report PROVES that T-mobile has the second best coverage, right behind verizon. Verizon received a 74/100 T-mobile came in with a 72/100!!!
...
Who cares about a report from 13 years ago. There were easily twice as many carriers back then, and most of them are gone now, either gone under or bought out. In 97 all of their network would have been gprs, since edge hadn't bene created yet and 3G wasn't even a thought. Worst. Thread. Ever.
