Re: New IOS question
Short answer, no. All that did before was remove it from multi task menu, not close it down. The way iOS works is that once an app is not in the forground and is left and then pushed to the background, it has to suspend. The exception is media apps but those you are probably listening to anyway. Honestly, if closing those out as you do had any real consequence, you'd lose the ability to get calls or messages. ...
Is the screen plastic or glass?????
Nokia is doing everything wrong......
Why aren't they releasing phones for every carrier???? They seem to shoot themselves in the foot at every move. Many people would love a Nokia phone, but they aren't smart enough to put it in wide release. They need to be taking ques from Samsung and not Apple with this exclusive BS...
Good job C Spire!!!!
Nice... I hope the underdog wins this one!!!!
C Spire offers post-paid (contract) and pre-paid services.... and they aren't competitors as they do not service the same areas....

Jayshmay said: SE really isn't all that different from Nokia, their high-end handsets don't ever, ever reach the U.S. because they do not do cdma variants and they always seem to to approach at&t first and at&t says make it cheaper and both companies say no. so at&t says, we'll take all this stuff over here out and add this to it, and they both say no. i truly think at&t is the reason both cmopanies aren't bigger here than they ...
Re: You're kidding me!
I've been using the phone for a few days now and I don't mind the orientation not changing when the keyboard comes out or the phone is rotated. I have the evo now and lock the orientation to portrait anyway. The only real gripe I have about it not changing is in market search.... I'm not sure it's a design flaw (other than market) but I think the phone flows better and works better in portrait mode. Overall, I'm ...
Re: Open Programs
You do not need a task killer. Just because it shows that it's in the background doesn't mean it is using any cpu. Android is not like windows or osx, it loads everything it can to memory waiting to be called up. That's a very big misconception with android... here is one of the best write ups on the issue... http://m.lifehacker.com/5650894/android-t ask-killers-explained-what-they-do-and-why-yo u-shouldnt-use-them
Re: Odd, No name?
they do have 3G. And they are the best down here. They don't always get the newest phones, but they have best coverage, hands down. Also, they just turned verizon down in a partnership to build out lte. cell south isn't as big as the others but they are the best where they are...
Re: Why Sprint, Why?
acdc1a said: So I give $130 of my hard earned money to Sprint each and every month. Why is it that Sprint can't hire competent people in their stores? Why do they try to pin phone problems on the customer? So I went into the Sprint store because my Instinct stopped reading SD cards. They told me it was because my music was stored as .WAV files. My files aren't .wav files, they are WMA files. ...

jacejace said: Actually putting the charging port on top of the phone isn't too bad of an idea. Re: Leave it to HTC....
dialing a call takes 10-20 seconds to process and answering a call takes longer than it did before the update. random stalls when hitting the home button... just about most of the issues i think is with sense because the past few days i put launcher pro on and only the dialing and answering calls is stalling.
Re: Coverage Concerns
I know a bad experience sticks with you, but I left at&t over a year ago and have been with Sprint since then. They have a 30 day no questions asked return policy and will refund everything to including phone cost, bill and activation. They aren't the same company they used to be. I will say with my past experiences with at&t you'll be getting this same run around forever. If Sprint isn't an option, there is always Verizon. ...

crackberry said: not sense they have been made by kyocera... the past few handsets have not been up to par. i was on another forum talking about the hero... so that should have been *since they have been made by kyocera. 3810 is a good little handset, but not what the old sanyo's were.
Re: Explain the fee (correctly)
Ability to use video chat and unlimited bandwidth... no matter if you are on 3G or 4G... and while the phone has Sprint apps on it, you are free to do what you wish... if you do not want to pay the additional $30.00 a month for the Sprint Hotspot, they (as of now) are not going to block those services... also, to help build out the 4G network... THAT is what the additional $10.00 a month is for.
Re: I'll Put My V950 Against Any Sanyo
not sense they have been made by kyocera... the past few handsets have not been up to par.
Leave it to HTC....
after the fiasco of the HTC Hero, I've lost faith in HTC to do the right thing... After putting off the 2.1 update forever the update made most Hero's worse! HTC puts out a ton of phones, they just need to put a little more effort into keeping up the support for those phones. I do find it funny that dumb a$$es blame the carrier when a phone doesn't act right, and clearly it's a phone issue....
Re: FIX THE BATTERY PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!
lol... i wonder if those same people buy a sports car and complain about gas mileage???
Apple is the new Microsoft...
After billions paid out by Microsoft, it's funny that Apple is getting away with everything MS has had to pay up on... I guess when you're in bed with Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi, Jobs thinks he can do whatever he wants... And I'd like to see someone truly argue that Apple isn't doing the same thing Microsoft did...
Re: Am I doing my math right.
I work for Sprint and you are correct... and navigation is included with that as well as tv.
thanks for being honest...
it's about time at&t gets called out on their bs... "The main menu has been littered with AT&T apps..." - I couldn't have worded it any more perfect. at&t really cannot grasp the concept of customer choice.
at&t still screwing up at every turn.
a company of this size and with this much clout in ip/internet should not have these types of problems. i guess it just goes to show what type of company it is under ralph de la vega. ignorant. randall needs to get rid of him and get a real ceo in there.
Hey Motorola, 2005 called and they want their phone back.
Re: Sprint's presence at CES is Dissapointing!
att said they will release android and sprint already has it. att said they will launch webos and sprint already has it. how often do you change devices? how long have you had your current device? i hate to say it, but it sounds like you're just looking for something to complain about. look at the plans with att and verizon and you'll pay more for a phone that does the same things you can get with sprint.it's up ...

Re: Palm pixi hardware problems
honestly, you have a 50-50 percent chance of a refurb having problems. just like you are having with a new phone. 50-50... i don't know why people have problems with refurbed equipment. they only reason you are getting a refurb is because something was wrong with the NEW phone you got. and don't blame sprint, blame the manufacture. and that goes for ALL wireless carriers.
