Re: A note about Sanyo signal strength indicators
I've had my 5600 for a month now and I have indeed noticed the signal indicator showing less bars at my house then my vm4500 did. I live in a rural area where signal is normally weak, yet I've only dropped one call w/ my 5600 and that was in my basement/unfinished crawlspace crouched between 2 steel I-beam supports.
Re: Best Brand of Mini Sd Cards
The manual was written before the 1 gig card was available.

Re: Easy way to get 3gp
sorry to reply so late, I was at work all day! No I don't recieve any errors, I just don't see the file in any folders when I'm browsing through my phone. The file is there when I browse the folders while connected to my computer via USB cable.
Re: Easy way to get 3gp
I placed the 3gp file into the multimedia folder....and then I tried the video folder and both were no-go.
Re: Easy way to get 3gp
Okay, I must be really retarded. I've used the multimedia converter, got my 3gp file, transferred it to my miniSD card but when I browse through the miniSD files from my phone to watch it there is nothing there??? Help!!
Re: be in business friday
I work for best buy and the largest miniSD card they currently sell is 256mb. I bought mine 2 weeks ago for fear that the 2 we had @ my store would be gone when the 5600 came out. I know that 1GB cards are available from mobymemory.com. If I'm doing the currency conversion correctly it will cost you roughly 200 dollars for the 1GB. I would wait until either A. you know for sure ...
5600 not released yet and already winning awards....
check this out.

Re: It'd better do this.. or else
I'v had my 5500 for over a year now and I also personally know 4 other people that have the 5500 and I have never heard of that problem. If the phone is less then a year old I would take it to a Sprint Store and have them test and run software/hardware updates on it. If it fails the test you will most likely get a new phone.
Re: feb 18 looks like the day of its release
Thanks for the info... I spoke w/ a friend that works at the Sprint Store 2 weeks or so ago and he said that the 5600 is now listed on their availibility list as "coming soon". He told me that that means real soon, so hopefully your right!!
Re: Phones memory
I don't know if you noticed that the phone comes with a 16 MB miniSD card and as far as I know you can purchase a miniSD card as large as 256 MB.
