I have been reading the threads in this forum for a while, and seeing this person saying this and this person saying that (about the release date of the MM-5600) and I have something to tell you, this is not from no inside source 😉 or not close friend of mine that works for sprint, and I my self do not work fro sprint, this is from me. I don’t know if the times for these threads are posted but I am just going to write it any way. The date is 03/02/05 and the time is 2:31pm, I just got off the phone with sprint. And I just ordered my MM-5600. The price is $429.99 and the final price comes out to $471.01 or something like that after taxes and the $5.38 shipping and handling. I will probably say that this is the most accurate information. ...

I will be glad to, it’s coming in on Friday, and I will take it to the sprint a store as soon as I get it and have the phone book swapped over from My VM-7400. I will also update people that have the VM-7400 on whether it’s really worth replacing your VM-7400 for the MM-5600 if you have to buy it at full price.

I too purchased the phone today through telesales. In fact i purchased a 512mb minisd card yesterday. Both should arrive friday and i hope to have everything up and running then. I was waiting on pins and needles for this thing to come out because i want to take it on my ski trip next week. how cool will it be to ski down the mountain listening to my favorite mp3s and being able to answer my buddy's ready link call from anywhere on the mountain. btw - we printed out the ship list this morning and no 5600s are on the way yet, however 2 extended batteries and 7 leather cases should be in our store on friday.

i did not purchase a minicard yet, a friend of mine works at best buy and will get it for me for a real good price almost half off. so when i get the phone i will worry about that. but i think i will get 512mb, if thats the biggest that i comes in.

I work for best buy and the largest miniSD card they currently sell is 256mb. I bought mine 2 weeks ago for fear that the 2 we had @ my store would be gone when the 5600 came out. I know that 1GB cards are available from mobymemory.com. If I'm doing the currency conversion correctly it will cost you roughly 200 dollars for the 1GB. I would wait until either A. you know for sure the phone supports a card that size and/or B. the damn price goes down!!!!
