I'm going from a G1 to a LG Ally is there anything I will be missing and is there anything that will make it stand out from the G1?
Re: Can you use this phone as a modem?
You can tether it but I believe you have to root the phone first. My friend does it with his Ally and I do it with my G1. So I'll ask him if he had to root his first.

Ok it has to be 1700MHz or 2100MHz or it will just run on edge.

You can use the tzone plan to go to all the websites you can on the regular data plan. I have also got the tzones to runa t full 3g speed on a different phone and it is alot faster.

Its not possible to use on a GSM carrier, but I have an Ocean running on Cricket.
Pro?
I saw a HTC Touch Pro on different site. And was wondering if this is the same model but with a different name.
Re: 8525 compatable with new T-Mobile 3G network?
If I remember right the T-Mobile needs to be 1700mhz, so if thats the case this phone won't take advantage of the higher speeds.
stupid ? s620/s621
I have a question. What is the difference between the S620 and the S621?

Re: Tytn or wing
I have the 8252, 8125 and the wing and I like the 8252 better.
Re: 8525 vs. Wing?
I was going to get the Wing but my local dealer told me to look for a MDA, he says the wing is a big let down for him. Not an upgrade to the MDA.
T616
Not sure if this is the right forum, but I just noticed my phone is a t616 and not a t610, is there any big differences between the two?
Re: 2 questions about the dash
I needed to replace my adapter on both my Palm Treo and MDA and Radioshack had the plugs I needed. So if you have a RadioShack around you it should be something they keep in stock all the time.
question
If I'm in an area that doesn't have edge yet and I have no use for a camera on my cell. And the main reason I would want a cell with a keyboard would be for telneting/ssh, and text/iming would this be worth getting? How would this compare to the Dash. Thanks.

java
Does anyone know if the java programs I have for my Nokia 6800 will run on the A630? And if not is there a Telnet client for it?
Re: Can anyone recommend best bluetooth, infrared, keyboard phone?
I like this one by Motorola and the Nokia 6810. Neither one has sd ram card or memory stick capablities that I know of. You would probably have to pay twice as much to have one with that option and all the stuff these two have. The sidekick is also nice, but haven't been able to add my own java programs to it yet.
Nokia 282
I thought the 282 was Nokias first entry level clam shell.
memory card
Can the memory card be used to save java programs or only music and ring tones?
Re: 6820 t-mobile rumors?
I've seen it at my t-mobile store already. But I'm waiting for the 6810.
Re: T-Mobile USA will release it
I just got off the phone with TMo and they said it would be somethime next year when they go with EDGE. Nokia should have the 6810 replacement out by then. Besides the EDGE data connection is thins phone worth getting over the 6800?
