Re: poor guys
How long of a cable would you need? 6 Foot Cable $19.99
Re: Loss of turnkey
Wow your'e one of those nice guys. The Walmart in my town doesnt assist customers with the phones or phone cards they sell, and only activate the post paid phones. I work at radioshack and we get people bringing walmart cards in to my store asking me to help them with putting it on their phone or asking me to activate a phone (which makes me angry because they didn't purchase it from me). But, I like what you ...
Re: Insane pricepoint for the plan
You can't access their site. Thats how secure they are. :) I'm also wanting to check this out more.... $10 a month unlimited....
Re: I hope it Fails
I use my phone as an MP3 player. When i put thousands of songs on it, the memory fills up quickly. Also people who take lots of pictures fill up the memory fast. I understand nobody listens to thousands of songs, but it's nice to have the option.
Re: It's all fine and good, however
Windows app store is missing NHL Gamecenter which is very important to me. I had a Samsung Focus windows 7 phone before, and it was by far the best and smoothest phone i've had. I always noticed it missing apps that I had wanted.
Have you heard whether or not this will be coming to other carriers, specifically AT&T?
Re: Three questions, anyone know?
Power saving mode does slow down the processing speed. And the issue with the flashing lights on the camera led, that is a byproduct of the latest android update. It can be turned off in the settings under: accessibility.
Re: who actually wants this crap?
I do not want this crap. But, I do want the phone that Will Smith used in After Earth that he rolled up like a crescent roll.
Re: No surprise
This is pretty much the only phone news site that I check. I agree, I enjoy reading the comments on here, but it has had considerably less than what it used to have. The great thing about this site is what you had mentioned. Most people on here know what they are talking about, have been in the business and offer many excellent view points.
I sell phones. iPhones are definitely ruled by the younger generation. My older customers realize when they are getting ripped off and can see through apples lies. They do not believe that the retina display is the best display on any smartphone because apple says it is. They look at the resolution of phone screens and decide for themselves. Not to mention all the other features that set the two apart. I also have noticed, now that I am ...
Re: Antenna Gate Wins
Seventh. I work for a place that thinks the iPhones are the best phones ever, it's what all my bosses have so they think all the other phones are inferior. If i walked in to my back room right now, I could count stock, 20 iPhones 5S', 1 Galaxy S4, 1 Galaxy Note 3, and 1 HTC One. It hurts to sell such an overpriced and feature lacking phone at a higher price than superior phones. The iPhones are of ...
It is hard to define whether or not it is different. I believe in the terms and conditions of using a cell phone, it would say something along the lines that all of your data is collected. Since all of your data is collected, GPS location is readily available through apps/social networking and that people often use cell phones in public, do people have a reasonable expectation of privacy while using a cell phone? I think that searches of the ...
Re: Usually, but..
That is interesting. I've never been to an apple store, the closest one to me is about 2 hours away. I can see a use for that then.
I feel like this would annoy people in the apple store that have it on. Walk by a phone, get a message asking if you want to upgrade. Walk by an ipad, get a message asking if you want to buy an ipad. Walk by a Mac, get a message asking if you want to buy a mac. Usually customers can find a checkout on their own. I'm curious to see if this will be anything that actually improves ...
The micro USB charging port has plagued many of my families/customers phones by breaking with normal use. I'm glad to finally see an announcement of a new style.
Re: Its a Shame
I don't understand why you think that Nokia phones have gone down hill. Nokia is still making very nice phones that are very much running competition to samsung/apple phones. The only thing that is hurting them is the lack of app support for windows phones. Windows is my favorite operating system, but I have an android due to the lack of apps in the windows store. Nokia still makes amazing phones. I think that Microsoft's purchase of Nokia will ...
The Galaxy S3 released on AT&T around the same time it came out on the other carriers. I've had the S3 since June 2012 on AT&T.
Windows OS has always been my favorite operating system. I just cannot bring myself to get another one with the lack of apps. The same reason I wont get a Microsoft Surface 2. We need to start a Windows OS revolution and mass purchase these devices to entice app makers to make the apps for windows. I think everyone would be happy with the speed and performance of Windows phones.
Re: The screen is lousy
My Samsung Galaxy S III that I got at launch has no ghosting at all. The screen is just as amazing as it was the first day I got it. It doesn't look dirty at all. I assume you've never owned one, and if you have, my guess is you dont take care of your screen.
Re: No thanks I dont want to see any more of the "PEOPLE" of Wal Mart
The people of walmart.... They are their own breed.... My towns walmart never has anybody working in the electronics department. One time I went their to purchase a game, I waited at the register for a solid 20 minutes with multiple people walking past me not asking me if I needed any assistance. One person finally asked me if I need help, I said yes, and they said Ill get somebody to help you. Nobody came. About 15 minutes ...
iPhone users with the first version of apple maps on the iPhone 5 did not make it to point B... :)
Re: No price drop on the old phones?
The iPhone 5 is selling for $99 new at most places. (Currently not at the phone carriers themselves, but radioshack/walmart have them cheaper)
Re: Yes, ignorant people
The iphones screen is not anywhere near as good as the 1080p screen on the gs4.
Re: iPhone 5s is the Worst update ever.
I can only believe that you are the only person that doesnt want an sd card slot or a removeable battery. I also do not think you are being sarcastic. Out of storage on iphone: let me delete stuff Out of storage on samsung: let me an an sd card or multiple sd cards. My battery is bad on my iphone: let me send it in to apple or drive (in my case) 3 hours to the nearest apple store to have them ...
Not this time
I thought that I would soon switch to an Apple iPhone. But with the same small, low pixel density screen, I will stick with android this year. Maybe next year when apple switches to a 4.5" screen ill pick one up. Same phone... with an un-justifiable expense such as a fingerprint sensor..
Re: Samsung buying LG
My windows phone was the best i ever had. Ran smooth and fast the whole two years that I had it. Just had no apps.... It's a disappointment. I think developer support is the only thing keeping windows phones back.
Re: Buy stock in cardboard box manufacturers, UPS, and Fed Ex
It was 1.1billion dollars. But, Microsoft fixed that problem with a newer model of the 360. So just dont buy the first round of new nokia phones ;).
Anybody read anywhere if the Galaxy SIII will recieve an update to this new version?
Re: What's with all the trade-in programs?
With a trade-in program you generally receive less money, but the service is fast and convenient. When people trade in phones at my place of work, we issue them a gift card and then use that gift card for the purchase of their new phone. It allows them to pay less for the phone up front. It is much harder to find a buyer on craigslist, you have all the scrubs with their junk that contact you for a ...
I don't think Samsung meant this phone to be a superior device. I believe it is meant to be a large affordable phone. The phone itself is only $149.99 with an upgrade while the note 2 was $299.99. The Note 3, which is rumored to be launching soon, will be the large phone with the nice specs (along with a nice price tag).
Re: Wood option
Guess I should read more. Thank you.
Re: Moto Maker
I do. Hard wood.
I think this is a bad lawsuit. I understand defending their trademark, but at&ts aio brand seems to be a distinct different shade of purple than t-mobiles. But I do have to ask at&t, what's wrong with orange?
I don't see the wood options in moto maker that motorola said was going to be a possibility :(
It's funny because a lot of my un-informed college age friends all voted for Obama saying he wasn't going to raise taxes on the middle class. They hated Romney because he said if he needed to raise taxes he would raise them on everyone. I guess they would rather have a liar in office than an honest man that knows how to balance a budget and maintain money. Obama has made no positive change in America besides giving the ...
Re: Alarming this must be
I think they are the same greedy corporation, like the bigger guys. They just sell cheaply-made stuff for cheap prices. You ever use the Sunbeam batteries..... But, I'd rather buy something anywhere but wal-mart unless its my only option.
Re: Hey, Microsoft...
I do not think Microsoft is losing at every turn to samsung and motorola. Windows phones have a more solid operating system than the samsung and motorola counterparts. Samsung and Motorola phones often have problems and lag/crashing issues that you rarely would have with a windows phone. I had a windows phone for 2 years and besides a lock button problem (not having to do with the operating system) I had no problems. I now have the galaxy s3 ...
Amount of people...
I feel like there are not many people that download apps from anywhere but the google play store. I doubt this will affect that many people.
