First I want to point out that is the first thing I noticed and made me really not want to even consider the phone the fact that the size of the screen is 6.3 but the quality of the display is terrible. :/ What good is a 6.3 inch screen when you can still see pixels.

The other is I want to point out the hilarity of your comparison it made me laugh for a while.

"It comes across as classy and elegant sort of in the way Shaquille O'Neal does when wearing a suit rather than his basketball uniform."

hahahaha immediately thought of Shaquille O'Neal in Shazzam and Steel. Thanks for that laugh.

Then this "I dropped it a lot, and felt stupid using it as a phone to make calls. "

I don't think Samsung meant this phone to be a superior device. I believe it is meant to be a large affordable phone. The phone itself is only $149.99 with an upgrade while the note 2 was $299.99. The Note 3, which is rumored to be launching soon, will be the large phone with the nice specs (along with a nice price tag).

Agreed. I think this phone lacks some of the great features due to the low price, because its meant for people who want phablet without paying 300 dollars

Yes. I guess. I did look at it that way but I mean the screen has to be top notch in order to make this phone appeal and help people get over the fact that its 6.3 inches. haha.

Think of the resolution of a Google Nexus 7 or any of last year's 7 inches tablets.
The phone's display looks fuzzy when compared to that of new top-of-the-line smartphones. Though, the screen looks pretty nice.
Keep in mind that new high-end have spoiled Eric, so, when he says that the display is not "awesome", it isn't implied that the screen is bad, at all.
