Verizon will offer 20GB for 140 a month, not 120GB for 140 a month. I wish they would offer 120GB for 140, I'd jump on that real fast!

Well to be honest, rollover data seems silly to me. If you aren't using up all of your data every month then you should switch down to a smaller monthly bucket. In my opinion it's just a gimmick. What Verizon should do instead is just alter their More Everything plans to add an extra gig on their lower-tier plans, that would up the competition with AT&T.

They acquired several multi-regional (or national) carriers over the years: AT&T (formerly Cingular Wireless) became a giant when the former Cingular Wireless bought out the floundering old AT&T Wireless in 2003/4. AT&T bought out additional regional carriers like Cell One Dobson. Verizon Wireless bought out Alltel in 2009. Both the current AT&T and Verizon Wireless were formed as a result of mega mergers: Verizon Wireless was formed by the merger of Bell Atlantic Mobile, Vodafone/Airtouch Cellular, GTE Wireless and PrimeCo. ...

Hello SForsyth01, I have the Razr Maxx HD and I like it but it is buggy and freezes a lot. My upgrade date is in October. When you handled this phone, was it very responsive? Did it lag at all in data? I disabled a lot of apps on my current phone and cleared the cache, but it still has problems.

Hi Rich, I currently have the Droid RAZR Maxx HD (I love it.) and I'm due for an upgrade in October. In your professional opinion, do you think the new Droid Maxx is worth it to upgrade over the RAZR Maxx HD from 2012 or am I better off just sticking to my current Maxx HD and saving the 300? Thanks!

Try Ebay.

Ebay is cheaper than full retail, though not as cheap as upgrading and paying only 200 for your phone. However, if you don't want to lose your unlimited data on VZW and you want to keep VZW's LTE network (which is really good), Ebay will give you some options. Good luck no matter what you decide!

I was hoping this deal would go through. Sprint badly needs the cash. Now that it has to answer to a parent company, I hope Sprint will be careful not to repeat the costly mistakes of its past. Despite its flaws, Sprint is a good company and I don't want to see them go anywhere but up. I had their service in the past and their voice service is good, but their data service is sluggish. AT&T Wireless had only two choices: be bought out, or close its doors. But you personally do not like them, I am sure AT&T or T-Mobile would be happy to have you.

Your ETF is determined by the type of phone you activated when you originally signed up or upgraded your service. If you activated a feature phone, but originally signed on or renewed with a smart phone, your EFC will be based on the smart phone.

I can find the SAR value VERY easily. Hell, CNET dot com lists the SAR for EVERY phone they review, and they review everything on their site. Laws like these are unneccesary and they will only make us lazier and less responsible, and this is NOT what we need. People need to take responsibility for themselves in this country or America will never get back on the right track.

I am glad you are still on the Nextel network. I am sure you are not happy about Sprint shutting down iDEN at the end of 2013. Hi Nextel18, I was just curious, do you still have Nextel iDEN service? I had Nextel for a year and I loved it, but then I moved to an area where Nextel had very poor reception, so I switched over to Verizon. I do miss my Motorola i365 phone. That was one tough phone that could get signal (when I was in a service area).

It has its share of network problems now and then too. I think the reason why 3G drops down to 1X is primarily based on your proximity. In some areas you can only get a 1X signal on the Network. Frankly, I'd rather have 1X then no service. Voice is the primary importance of cellular service in my opinion. Cellular phones are tools for communication. Honestly, I have had all four major carriers and I travel ...
