Verizon will offer 20GB for 140 a month, not 120GB for 140 a month. I wish they would offer 120GB for 140, I'd jump on that real fast!
Re: There You Have It
Well to be honest, rollover data seems silly to me. If you aren't using up all of your data every month then you should switch down to a smaller monthly bucket. In my opinion it's just a gimmick. What Verizon should do instead is just alter their More Everything plans to add an extra gig on their lower-tier plans, that would up the competition with AT&T.
The reason why Verizon Wireless and AT&T are so large today:
They acquired several multi-regional (or national) carriers over the years: AT&T (formerly Cingular Wireless) became a giant when the former Cingular Wireless bought out the floundering old AT&T Wireless in 2003/4. AT&T bought out additional regional carriers like Cell One Dobson. Verizon Wireless bought out Alltel in 2009. Both the current AT&T and Verizon Wireless were formed as a result of mega mergers: Verizon Wireless was formed by the merger of Bell Atlantic Mobile, Vodafone/Airtouch Cellular, GTE Wireless and PrimeCo. ...
Sprint banned me from their Facebook page.
Because I kept helping disgruntled customers on there shop for better service with Verizon Wireless, AT&T, or T-Mobile. I guess they are really touchy about having customers walk away from their crappy network and service...

daigo1 said: I went through 2 flip phones from Verizon within the past year and they both broke on me and have bad call quality. Is there a different phone I can buy on like eBay or a 3rd party site that will work with Verizon and is reliable (will last at least 2 years without malfunctioning or degrading in quality) with good call quality? Best Verizon phones to get: -Casio Ravine 2 -Casio Ravine 1 -Motorola Barrage These three have the best call quality. ...

cellphoneguy said: The main reason we don't recommend the iphone is because even though it just came out it's still outdated compared to a lot of other phones out there. Also ios7 really does nothing but give you basic android features. Has nothing to do with com at all and also you can't get one right now. Ha ha, I agree with that! My Droid Maxx makes my iPhone friends jealous, especially with the touchless commands. The screen alone makes ...
bogert7021 said: why have 2 different Verizon sales person try to talk me out of buy a iphone the last 2 smartphones I bought, is it the commission or something else? Dear Bogert, From what I have read, I learned that iPhones cost the carriers money. Apple does not give carriers any discounts for buying in bulk, plus Apple has several agreements in place to where the carrier has to pay Apple subsidies, so carriers don't make any profit on your ...
Hello SForsyth01, I have the Razr Maxx HD and I like it but it is buggy and freezes a lot. My upgrade date is in October. When you handled this phone, was it very responsive? Did it lag at all in data? I disabled a lot of apps on my current phone and cleared the cache, but it still has problems.
Question for Rich.
Hi Rich, I currently have the Droid RAZR Maxx HD (I love it.) and I'm due for an upgrade in October. In your professional opinion, do you think the new Droid Maxx is worth it to upgrade over the RAZR Maxx HD from 2012 or am I better off just sticking to my current Maxx HD and saving the 300? Thanks!
Ebay is cheaper than full retail, though not as cheap as upgrading and paying only 200 for your phone. However, if you don't want to lose your unlimited data on VZW and you want to keep VZW's LTE network (which is really good), Ebay will give you some options. Good luck no matter what you decide!
Good for Sprint.
I was hoping this deal would go through. Sprint badly needs the cash. Now that it has to answer to a parent company, I hope Sprint will be careful not to repeat the costly mistakes of its past. Despite its flaws, Sprint is a good company and I don't want to see them go anywhere but up. I had their service in the past and their voice service is good, but their data service is sluggish. I commend ...
Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, that is why...........
I agree. I am so fed up with the fees. I don't need a smartphone, I just prefer a heavy duty rugged phone, which I can get for cheap on Ebay. Once I am done with my contract with my carrier, I am going to go prepaid.
Re: Looks fierce
I have used Sonim phones before. They are tougher than any other handsets out there. I currently have the Kyocera DuraPlus. I would love to get my hands on this one!!
Re: Nextel phones are no longer available on Sprint.com
I got the Kyocera DuraPlus, it is similar to my wonderful old i365 iDEN phone. I really like it.
Nextel phones are no longer available on Sprint.com
Was browsing Sprint's website, and they took down all of their iDEN phones. Nextel is officially done. End of an era of exceptional PTT.
Re: Could ATT become the next Sprint and start bleeding customers?
Sprint is still posting quarterly net losses, whereas AT&T is not. Sprint is actually struggling to survive right now, and I am not thrilled as I like Sprint, but it is struggling to keep up with Verizon and AT&T. Getting the iPhone is good, but Sprint won't see the financial benefit of that for a few years yet. Yes, Sprint has the best prices, but I used their 3g network and it is slower than Verizon's ...
But if they did that then they would....be VERIZON!
AT&T Wireless ran itself into the ground.
AT&T Wireless had only two choices: be bought out, or close its doors. AT&T Wireless could not be left alone because years of corrupt management and poor service and lack of network maintenance left the carrier bleeding itself to death. It was either Cingular or Vodafone, and in the end Cingular won, but it over paid by several billion for AT&T Wireless
Go with AT&T
You're biased against CDMA so go with AT&T.
If you think you've been slammed, you obviously are a noob.
I have seen what real slamming is like on these forums, and you are weren't slammed. You were given a reality check. These people were actually nice to you. If you want to know what real slamming looks like, peruse through past threads and you'll see..
I think Verizon has a solid line up of Smart Phones.
Most notably: Motorola Droid X 2 (which I have and love) iPhone 4 (which I did have and loved, but I like my Droid better) LG Revolution which is LTE capable Casio Hitachi Commando (first rugged smartphone for you heavy duty people) Samsung Droid Charge (another LTE phone) All of these phones get solid reviews. But you personally do not like them, I am sure AT&T or T-Mobile would be happy to have you.
Re: what flavor is that?
It's pickled flavored kool-aid.
Yes I did have Sprint.
Sprint's customer service is very good. I left Sprint for Big Red because I moved to an area where Sprint did not have coverage. But Sprint was and is good.
Re: ETF Question
I meant etf, not efc, sorry.
Re: ETF Question
Your ETF is determined by the type of phone you activated when you originally signed up or upgraded your service. If you activated a feature phone, but originally signed on or renewed with a smart phone, your EFC will be based on the smart phone.
Verizon's customer service.
Dear Verizon, Every time I call you, I always enjoy talking to your friendly reps. My questions are always answered and my issues are resolved quickly, and you guys actually engage in conversation with me! Thank you for your high level of customer service. I originally signed on to Verizon for the coverage, but the reason I will stay with you is your customer service. I love you! XOXO Cellular Phone
Shaniqua?! That is too funny!
I can find the SAR value VERY easily. Hell, CNET dot com lists the SAR for EVERY phone they review, and they review everything on their site. Laws like these are unneccesary and they will only make us lazier and less responsible, and this is NOT what we need. People need to take responsibility for themselves in this country or America will never get back on the right track.
Re: You just described....
What you are is a hard working employee whose hard work deserves to be recognized. I am sorry more of us customers don't take the time to say thank you for what you do for us.
As a Verizon Wireless customer who has had the other 3.
I strongly disagree with you Jayshmay. Verizon employees are by far the friendliest, most helpful employees I have encountered in the numerous years I have had cellular service. I have never once encountered an arrogant Verizon employee in the stores, or on call. Every time, I have had a pleasant experience. I am thankful that there are people willing to work in industry who are STILL willing to be good to nice customers like me, even though 90% ...

Re: Nextel18, are you still with Nextel, or did you switch?
I am glad you are still on the Nextel network. I am sure you are not happy about Sprint shutting down iDEN at the end of 2013. I personally am not happy with the eventual shutdown, because iDEN was such a great technology for radio and voice. In fact, when other networks were down in a natural disaster situation, Nextel was the only one that stayed up because the towers communicate PTT directly to other Nextel ...
I have Verizon, but I reactivated my Nextel phone on Boost.
I love both Verizon and iDEN, so I have my precious Motorola i365 activated on Boost's a dime a minute prepaid plan. I actually went over my minutes this last month, so I have been using my iDEN service during the day, and then VZW for night calling.
Nextel18, are you still with Nextel, or did you switch?
Hi Nextel18, I was just curious, do you still have Nextel iDEN service? I had Nextel for a year and I loved it, but then I moved to an area where Nextel had very poor reception, so I switched over to Verizon. I do miss my Motorola i365 phone. That was one tough phone that could get signal (when I was in a service area).
Verizon is like other carriers.
It has its share of network problems now and then too. I think the reason why 3G drops down to 1X is primarily based on your proximity. In some areas you can only get a 1X signal on the Network. Frankly, I'd rather have 1X then no service. Voice is the primary importance of cellular service in my opinion. Cellular phones are tools for communication. Honestly, I have had all four major carriers and I travel ...
