What a shame
May 13, 2013, 7:21 AM
in the Article: Google Says Curt Goodbye to SMS Search forum

This was the single greatest tool ever produced by Google. It was available before most browsers were capable of displaying web content. It was, until the moment they shut it down, faster than any web browser for finding information. It was available to anyone with a cell phone and text plan. I am sad and disappointed that this incredible feature is gone.

Re: I didn't know they had a Blackberry App

in the Article: Yahoo to Cut More Services, Including BlackBerry App forum

they don't have a BB app.... never have. Misleading article aimed at further discrediting Blacbkerry. No surprise, really, considering Mayer's unfounded contempt for the company. Yahoo is a terrible company with terrible products...Blackberry should send them a Thank You note for doing this public service

No music playback....
Nov 29, 2012, 2:32 PM
in the Kyocera DuraXT / DuraPro forum

I was seriously considering ditching my Blackberry for this phone until I read that you cannot play music on it. There is no music player and no file management feature to find/use .mp3(or the like).... With that massive external speaker setup that should have been a priority element.

EXCITED!

Great thread. "You guys are so dumb"... you should have followed that up with "I'm in 2nd grade and don't know how to express my feelings yet"

A little late to the party. Despite what's written in the specs on this site the phone DOES have full duplex.

Re: Opera Mini or Bolt
Jun 2, 2010, 8:02 AM
in the BlackBerry Bold 9650 forum

As reported in your other thread, Opermini does not work on the Bold. Confirmed by several others on sprintusers. It either locks up completely or the cursor goes completely haywire and you can't do anything. Bolt appears to be substantially more solid. However, I still have not found any problems with speed or compatibility with the BB browser.

May 25, 2010, 7:52 PM
in the BlackBerry Bold 9650 forum

No problems on my browser.... yet. However, I did download OperaMini.... what a nightmare that has been. So far I have had to wipe my Bold and rebuild due to it completely locking up even after pulling the battery.

Half duplex ... really?
Apr 28, 2010, 9:19 AM
in the BlackBerry Bold 9650 forum

It's 2010. We have cameras built into phones that rival top market devices, wifi, super fast data... essentially a portable computer that fits into your pocket... Yet they choose to outfit this high end device with a HALF DUPLEX speaker phone? Seriously? I haven't followed Berry devices for a long time but is this typical for them? I use my speaker phone on all of my phones almost exclusively and a full duplex speaker is essential.

Re: LG muziq or KATANA dlx
Aug 27, 2007, 1:51 PM
in the LG Muziq / AX-565 / UX-565 forum

The muziq has bigger keys but offers zero tactile feedback so texting isn't as easy as you would think. Reception is a non-issue. Pretty even between both phones. Battery life for the muziq is not great. I have had 2 of them but the battery life was very different between both the phones. The first I had to charge every 12 hours with minimal use. The second I charged every day and a half with the same amount of use. Definitely ...

There are no issues. By default predictive text is turned on and it's annoying but it's easy to turn off.

Is this free? I can download the software and drivers but after I try to install it tells me that I have to reboot to complete installation and once I reboot it tells me that the install.exe file is not found and I can't continue... stuck in a loop.

Someone buy my MM5600 and I'll buy one of these and give it a good working through :) The size looks a little large but it finally has all the features in a phone I would want and need. I hope the reception is good and the OS is fast.

Re: TWO QUICK QUESTIONS
Jun 30, 2005, 12:43 PM
in the Sanyo MM-5600 forum

What the hell is wrong with you two.... If you have such a problem with people asking questions that you already know or others have already posted then IGNORE them... calling this user stupid or the questions stupid or calling the person lazy only exemplifies your social ineptness. Not everyone lives on these forums like you obviously do. It's so much more simple to just pass by a repeat question than it is to post unhelpful, callous responses such as these.

Jun 29, 2005, 8:58 AM

Does anyone know how to turn this damn sound off or change it? I can't seem to find it anywhere... It's the sound your phone makes when you take a pic with the 5600...

Re: 5600 Start-up time
Apr 27, 2005, 8:36 AM
in the Audiovox SMT 5600 / SPV C500 (HTC Typhoon) forum

The startup time IS a big deal... it's painfully slow and that's one of the biggest reasons I sent the phone back. Not only was the startup slow, transitioning from one screen to another, one program to another was also very slow compared to other smart phones... It is, by far, the best looking phone on the market but looks don't supercede functionality.

Just because it's listed on that site means absolutely nothing. If you notice, there are like 10 other phones on that webpage that were slated to be released and never were or just cancelled altogether.

Re: A630 or Mpx220
Dec 8, 2004, 2:07 PM
in the Motorola A630 forum

You're not comparing phones that are even remotely close to being in the same class. A630 has a keyboard and no OS... MPX220 has no keyboard and WinMobile...not to mention the obvious differences in the specs. What are you looking for in a phone would be a good place to start.

If you're going to go that route you might as well go to www.intelenetwireless.com and get their phone for $285 after all the rebates...

Too daring.....
Nov 10, 2004, 7:56 AM
in the Nokia 7280 forum

Interesting idea, removing traditional dialing options for voice dial, at the expense of original styling, but until Nokia(as well as all other manufacturers) create a better voice interface that is not only accurate but also fast, they're never going to sell a product like this.

Selling brand new V600
Sep 23, 2004, 7:12 AM
in the Motorola V500 / V525 / V505 forum

I haven't seen others do this on here so I'm not sure if this is an appropriate method for selling. I received a brand new replacement phone from LockLine due to my old phone being lost. Long story short, it took weeks for my phone to be replaced with this service and I couldn't wait so I bought a 6820 which I like much better than the V600. So I'm selling this new, NOT refurbished, complete phone in-box for $250 shipped ...
