but it appears too flat and the color options are terrible.
what their customers want... awesome specs all around, testing the waters on some different technology and keeping removable battery and memory card slot. Winning
Re: And here we all were
2 smartphone operating systems? Currently 4 big ones and will still be 3 when BB shuts down BB OS 1.iOS 2.Android 3.Windows
Re: I wonder how the carriers feel about this?
It will be interested to see how this affects the relationship between the carriers and apple
gee... wonder why
"haven't resonated with consumers as the company hoped," They sealed in the battery and removed expandable memory options. Those were the biggest things they had going for them
They coordinated with google
I love it. I hope it comes to AT&T
...reading this article an old Genesis song popped into my head More specifically, a line from the song "she's got the built ability... to take everything she sees"
Don't see anything about when this program starts but I tried to enroll in it today from my iPhone and no matter which carrier I chose or which phone I chose it gave me "this device is not available right now. Select a different device or check back later"
$87M invested = $6B increase in value all while losing 10% of their customers??
needs to come in and fire the entire design staff.... I don't think it's a lack of innovation because Moto has some of the best features available but they are now some of the crap ugliest phones.
old school feel with new tech built in Some pretty impressive specs crammed into that little thing. Tiny battery won't help it win any prizes for withstanding an entire day of use though. If this comes to the US I will snatch one up Do not like the name though...
Re: To Be Honest.
Agree... only phone available on their site right now is the T3
Re: Farewell Motorla
I'm not sure I understand how that works. If you have a SIM card in the tray you can't use a memory card, and vice versa? Or the tray has a slot for both a SIM card and a memory card?
I absolutely detest Lenovo's design implementation, so cookie-cutter like their computers. Motorola had a very nice style to their Moto X designs. I don't personally like this design at all. And making the Pure edition only available in 5.7" is a bad idea too.
Re: Looks cool...
Agreed. I want a press release and more info on the specs and bands Their website doesn't tell squat and registering doesn't give me anymore information either
Samsung tried this a couple years ago with their Galaxy line and it was not well received This appears to be a much better camera attached to a phone with much better specs but no gorilla glass or damage resistance features Price is too high
No expansion and only 32gb? Not a deal breaker completely but certainly a dissapointment Nice to see a larger battery though
Sure, no more security having 990000 possible code combinations to prevent algorithmic attacks
Because not everyone who has an iPhone has a 5S or later and those who do not all of them want to use the finger print feature. This offers more security... as simple as that
Re: Doesnt say anything about SD card or removable battery...
I agree that it sucks.....I never cared much about removable battery but the memory card is crucial to me
No mention of the battery capacity.... ?
Re: How to skirt the law
.... blackberry isn't selling enough phones to stay afloat but this keyboard idea is a seller. Why not buy the patent idea from this company and make the keyboard themselves?
Placed my order for a red one. Should in 2 days. Why no mention of gorilla glass or dual sim capabilities?
Re: Looks like a great phone - for the price!
Looks great... for $300 it's worth giving it a whirl.... If I can figure out how to buy one tomorrow I'm going to order one
AT&T and Verizon are upset that they didn't exploit this same loophole. I have no problems that DISH took advantage of this... what I do have a problem with is that DISH will now own more spectrum that it won't use.
Re: ATT's 10GB Plan
That's what the article says: "By way of comparison, AT&T's 10 GB plan costs $100 and its 15 GB plan costs $130"
Now this is a different kind of phone. Sharp, edgy, unique, with all good specs. Throw in some waterproofing and I'm in! I really like the look of this phone. Don't imagine it's all that comfortable in the pocket while sitting but not a deal breaker.
Re: Nice but........
that's a little weird to read bay city, mi (my old stomping grounds) in a forum like this
Re: Ridiculous Prices
The price of gold around $1200/oz and the watch is said to be 18k solid gold (not plated)....$10k sounds reasonable. That's to say nothing about the watch or technology or people who would actually shell out that coin... simply the gold factor.
Re: any rumblings on the Z4 or Z4C at MWC?
....was wondering the same thing
Re: Memory card and removable battery
It is a peculiar move for sure. And to not include waterproofing/resistance... both strange not to see included.
Re: I don't get it...
Government control of the internet.... Gov't has their finger in damn near everything lousy in this country... you decide if it's good for you to have them involved in your internet or not
It looks pretty good for a ruggedized phone. Did you do any other durability tests other than stick it in the snow? Any drops? Step on it? etc..
Re: go phone
I don't know about cricket but if I had to guess about the desperity I would say calling to mexico and Canada and texting around the world as part of the att plan accounts for the higher rate.
Just chatted with Sprint to get my iphone 6 DSU and ISU and I'm told that they can't do it and that Apple will be releasing an update some time in the next 2 weeks that will make that feature automatically available. She wasn't certain of the exact time frame but she was adamant that Sprint was not responsible for this action. I love Sprint
.... double edged sword
