This cap should also come with a "FOR GOD'S SAKE GET OFF THE INTERNET ONCE IN A WHILE" counseling.
Since I can't use my phone as a music player now should I get that 100 page CD booklet out and place it on my passenger seat and flip through it while driving, because that's just fine and dandy.
Re: Why not just swipe a card?
Settling on one would be wonderful! However, I don't think tap will ever be that one. Most phones don't have the technology to be able to do this (NFC).
So many rules
This would be tempting if there weren't so many hoops to go through. Just give me a free second phone darn it! lol
I've been waiting for this!!
Re: Hulu Plus?
uppon further research it looks like it just a preview site, with some extras, to get you to go to the Hulu site to subscribe??? Or something like that.
I can already get Hulu on my AT&T phone. Does this story mean that Hulu Plus will be free to AT&T customers?
Re: second time
Um Duh. It would pretty much go like this. "We had an snooping employee, he no longer works for us." You make it sound like AT&T is authorizing employees to access restricted data.
Re: X Marks the Spot
Moto G doesn't have LTE or Voice commands, low memory and RAM. Kind of a big deal to some... If you're into that stuff. I got the 1st. gen X over G based largely on this.
Re: Better Options for PTT Nowadays
The problem is you need a smartphone to use Zello. With Verizon and the other carrier options we can use a PTT only phone at a greatly reduced price for our guys in the field.
Re: Sprint finally catching up to T-mobile.
That is correct. As long as you have the a phone that's compatible.
I like it
It works pretty darn good. No we just need a way to control a phone from a PC or another phone so I can help my parents with their phone.
Re: Even though iDEN is gone... on Sprint, it makes a decent 2 way
$30-$40 for an android powered long distance walkie talkie ain't too bad.
Re: KitKat / 4.4.2
Still waiting on the KitKAt update. :( But in the meantime you MUST do the Battery MOD for your Atrix HD. I install an EB40 battery from the RAZR MAXX. It'll give you 3-4 times longer battery life. Depending how much you use the phone.
Re: Data throttle
It is actually 2.5GB before the throttle. It's noted on their website now.
Re: Found this page with more details
Nice find, Thanks!! :D
Re: Confused with new pricing
So what I"m understanding now, and I could be wrong, is that the data bucket prices are not changing but the cost per line is what's changing based on contract and AT&T Next status. ????
Re: Confused with new pricing
Thanks for the teaser Eric :P I guess we'll have to wait until Sunday to see it published.
Confused with new pricing
How are these value plans if the price goes up? 1GB is currently $40 and 2GB is $50, the article says will be $45 and $55 and so on. If "so on" and that rate means goingup in thoes increments that would mean my current 10GB plan at $120 would be $135. I must be misunderstanding something.
Well that's a cool way to hand out updates. Instead of waiting for stupid carriers.
Just turn it off, duh.
Instagram did that and it took a simple settings change to turn it off and never do it again. I'm sure it will be the same with Facebook.
Re: 250 days standby?!
But as soon as you talk on it you lose 5990 hours! LOL
Nice post DarkStar! I agree
Re: Moto Maker
Yes. You can also go into the store to get all of the contract and pay stuff done and get a code to redeem online when customizing your phone.
Re: Water PROOF ?
If you want to get technical, it can be waterproof to XXX feet in depth. Like bulletproof... Bulletproof, except for hollow points.
Re: Water PROOF ?
WOW, that's all I have to say about that comment.
On network only? That's a bummer. I guess you'll have to be a fourth quarter watcher. Watch only when it really matters in the end.
Users will have to rely on WI-FI as much as possible. Don't have TV at home but have WI-FI, watch game on phone. At in-laws for dinner on Sunday, use their WI-FI, Wife makes you go shopping at the mall, use WI-FI. Are there really enough $5 a month subscribers to this to make it worth 1 BILLION dollars over the next four years?? Seems like other subscribers are chipping in on a service they don't get.
Re: Done in what sense?
Impressive! And you phrased it so much better then I did. Thanks!
Done in what sense?
They will be done with building LTE everywhere they have planned? Or done with making every bit of Verizon coverage LTE?
Re: Why not just put a fork into Motorola
Really? Not going to buy another Moto phone because they didn't upgrade to ICS? Yeah I'm bummed too, but with that logic you won't by any smartphone again. They all pull this non upgrade thing. To the guy saying they make junk. Have you owned one? I've got the Atrix 4G and now the Razr M. Both awesome solid phones. Wake up!
Verizon Push to talk LTE?
Any Android phones coming SOON that have Push to Talk and LTE? The CASIO G'zOne Commando is an ok phone but no LTE. My company is going with this phone and I'm heart broken.
Re: RAZR M
Thin like a razor.
First thought, wow that's awesome!
But, where do us AT&T users fall in all of this? Will my Atrix get 4.1? If not I can't trade it in for a $100 credit for a Verizon phone.
Web videos no longer?
So will I not be able to watch TV shows through the web browser any longer?
Camera Quality, what's wrong?
I keep reading that the camera isn't that great, but no details as to why. Is it picture quality, the application that is used to take the pictures??? Can anyone who has the phone, or tested it in person, tell me what the "Issue" with the camera is?
Re: Speakphone- Half Dulpex?
Half... only one persone can talk, or be heard, at a time. Full... both parties can speak and be heard.
Atrix HD for $49.99
If you want this phone I see it's only $49.99 at Best Buy.
Re: Unfortunate Trends
I was once with you on the sealed battery thing. But it does make fore a better water proofing and slimmer design. No days you can find battery powered phone chargers to get you by in a pinch that you would normally put your secondary battery in. The Atrix 4G was a $199 phone when it was released. Your prices are from long after it was released. Here's my very uneducated guess, in a few months or weeks we'll see the ...
