Takes a beating

Aug 30, 2004 by itdood

I've used my i90c for over 1.5 years now. The phone has never let me down. The case will attest to how often I've dropped the phone and it just never skipped a beat.

Menus are intuitive. Speaker, earbud, regular talk speaker, and ring tones are all very sufficient.

PROS:

Very durable
Speaker volumes
rotating holster
extendable antenna, good reception
Clam shell, less radio near your head
small size
Games
1 button speed dial
voice activated speed dial

CONS:
Short battery life
Outside display hard to read (it's recessed too far into phone so it has a shadow)

great phone

I have had some of Nextel's other phones but this phone is by far the best. If you are not one who needs color than this is the phone to get. It has everything that you will need in a phone and then some.

Love the phone :)

The phone is sturdy, feature packed, and looks cool :) The menu takes some getting used to though. The only thing I don't like is that you can't access the numbers in your address book while it's closed. Other than that, I highly recommend the phone.

THE BEST NON COLOR SCREEN PHONE

Mar 14, 2003 by Bryan Hill

I have been selling wireless handsets for 5 of the nations 6 largest cellular carriers for 1 year now and am a nextel customer. The Iden Motorola i90c is hands-down the best non-color screen phone available on the market. Let alone it is nextel service (enough said) but it is a compact folder style phone with enough capacity in its Java and IP features to do almost anything you can do with a phone. MIDI downloadable ring tones, speakerphone, outside display/callerID, voice command, voice recorder (on phone or open air). The i90c is the best phone I've used in 5 years.

The i90c, all the phone I need.

I agonized over buying the i95cl or the i90c. I got the i90c and could not be happier. It has all the features I could want with good voice quality. Nextel has some of the nicest quality phones, they don't feel and look like cheap plastic toys. The "always on" internet feature is great also.

Nextel's 190 is more than just a phone!!!

The Nextel 190 can save a business THOUSANDS of dollars. It has an awesome built in NAVIGATIONAL system that can track workers down to the street name and the ADDRESS! Just like the Viper alarm does when a thief steals a car. Workers won't be able to lie about their where abouts because, the navigation system lets the boss know exactly where their at at all times and it tells when they get there and when they depart from ANY location in the 50 states!!!!Awesome huh? Yes it is ;o)

Also, you can connect a whole entire key board made just for this phone and send emails and access the Internet for personal and business needs.

Also, if you are an outside sales person and you need a VISA machine---Yes again this phone can also be a visa machine too!

This phone is not the top of Nextel's line but it is the 3rd in line and can do more than the top 2 phones I95 and the I99.

I love my I90 and i would'nt trade it in for nothing. Get this phone right now and you also get a $50.00 rebate that none of the other phones Nextel offer has it's just awesome!!!!!

High quality and exceptional value

My previous carrier was Sprint PCS and I was unable to use their service in my homeand thus became very dissatisfied with the service. I thought I would try Nextel which is what a close friend and some of my customers use.

I am now able to use my i90 any where in my home and on the road and I have not dropped any calls. I also make extensive use of the Direct Connect feature. I found that the menue features are easy to activate. It is the smallest phone that I have used to date which makes it easy carry.

One of the best features on the phone is the built in speaker. Now, for a change, I don't have to use clumsy and low quality hands-free car kits, because now I can use the speaker-phone in my car and my callers can hear me clearly and I don't have to shout or repeat myself. The only drawback to the phone is the small caller ID window. My eyesight isn't what it used to be.

Having the i90 and Nextel service has helped in reducing not only my wireless costs, but also my land-line long distance bills.

Nextel i90

Before using Nextel I have been using ATT and I hated to leave ATT. I loved their phones and how small some of them were. Now I currently use Nextel and though to myself why I ever loved any other phone company!!! I just recently moved away from my parents to another state and picked up on Nextel for their push to talk feature. IT'S THE BEST!!! I feel like I'm still at home.
The i90 has great features as the push to talk but all of Nextel has that feature, it's a sleek looking phone since it's a flip phone. The size and weight is somewhat larger and heavier compared to other companies but once you own a Nextel you don't even care about that. The battery life is great, it can last for 3 days or more (depending on how much you use it), it comes with a belt clip that comes in handy. It has vibrate mode so you can at least know when you receiver a phone call. You can download ring tones on it, and Nextel's website has a variety to choose from.
Overall I will give this phone a 5!!!
