Samsung m510 - Wonderful Phone!

Dec 3, 2007 by GoldenBlaze

I exchanged my LG Muziq for a Samsung m510 and I am VERY pleased. The menu is very user friendly and all of my files that I had saved on my 1 GB microSD can be seen and played on the m510. I don't use a bluetooth, so as far as it not ringing with a bluetooth is not my concern. The ringers are very loud and the LCD screen is well lit and the characters are big enough for you to read without squinting.

Great product Samsung!

Ho-Hum

Well, I originally bought a Sanyo M1 (5-star phone by the way....much better than the LG Muziq) but decided I didn't really want to spend that much for a phone so within 3 days I downgraded to the M500.

After dealing with the awesome features of the M1, this phone just seems so "blah" compared to other sprint phones. Like one other user said, you only have a choice between 2 different external screens. You can't have a picture as the external screen like on most phones. Also the text messaging screen is kinda plain-looking as well.

With that being said, I'm gonna give the phone 4 stars because it does everything it says it will do, and the reception is great. So for the user who doesn't care about a bunch of "extra" features, this is a great (and cheap, only cost me $79) phone.

nothing new

Basically a smaller version of the 610. Nothing new or exciting, but works well. Sleek look over all, and I definitely like the keypad.

Just like any other Samsung (M500, M300, 610, etc). No new features. Nothing that sets it apart.

Pros:
1. Small, sleek look
2. Good reception

Cons:
1. Only two out-side LCD backgrounds to choose from
2. Boring features

Major Flaw with this Phone (M510)

Jul 5, 2007 by skanknpunx

First, I would like to say that i have been a faithful Sprint/Samsung phone user for many many years.

This is the first time that i have ever been extremely fustruted (beyond any words) by both this Samsung phone and Sprint.

Here is the Major problem with this phone. If you have your bluethooth headset connect to this phone, the phone itself will NOT RING! Only the headset will make any noise to alert you to an incoming call. Which means, you have to be wearing the headset in your ear to know that someone is calling you. Which is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Who wears their headset all the time? So if you want your phone to ring, you HAVE to have the bluethooth completly turned off. Or Everytime you get done using your headset, you will need to disconnect your bluetooth.

I have called both Sprint and Samsung about this probelm. They have said that it is desgined that way. WHO in the World Would Ever design a phone NOT to RING if it is connected to bluethooth?

SO I am returning my Phone ASAP!

Do not buy this model if you acturally want a phone that rings while connected to bluetooth.

Buy this phone only if you use bluetooth and wear your bluetooth headset 24/7. or if you don't mind having to always turn this feature on and off MANY times throughout the day. Or if you do not mind missing many phones calls.

I work with many new technologies and cutting edge stuff. It is my profession. this is the worst design flaw I have yet to see.

Shame on you Samsung!
