enthusiast's review of the Samsung Infuse 4G

original version, submitted May 17, 2011, 8:42 PM:

mixed emotions

I have had this phone for 2 days. After a full charge and turning it on at 7AM on the 2nd day, I noticed that by 10AM the battery was 25% drained. By 1PM it was 50% drained. By 2:30PM the battery indicator had turned yellow (needs charging) and was at the 25% mark. That to me is very bad. I hadn't been on anything but one call for less than a minutes, sent about 4 text msgs and used Navigator (which I killed immediately after getting what I wanted). I also did not have the wifi turned on, which I hear drains the battery even worse.

If i don't find a larger battery for this thing, it is going to be as much worth as a door stop unless I am constantly charging it!

Apps are apps. They work on most any (current model) Android phone, so I won't comment on them.

Used it for 2 years

I used the Infuse for about 2 years. I bought extended-life batteries from Amazon so my original concern about batteries was negated. I have now had the Note2 for about 8 months so I can bearly remember any details about the Infuse. It was great phone although I doubt anyone would be buying it now it is considered "old."

Signal and sound were excellent (AT&T. SF-Bay to Sacramento, CA)
