Bypassig the Data Cable with SD Card Reader????

I have a SD-to-USB adapter, so that I can plug my SD card into my USB port on my computer. Ofcourse I would like to customize my new phone (background images, ringtons, music...etc) but I did not purchase a data cable. This is my question...

Is there any way I can just plug the SD card into my computer and drag-&-drop these files onto the card, rather than using a data cable and bitpim?

If this is possible, which directories do I need to put information in? Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Guys,

I also got the micro card with the usb reader. I formatted the card to the four folders. I dragged some photos on into my pictures for a test. When I access the card thru the memory settings in tools. (Is this the only way to access the card?) I see the list of two images, but cannot open them. When I click ok, it just reverts back to card memory folders. How do I do this?

thanx

You are going through memory manager? That is for managing (moving) pix, flix, sounds and music from the card to the phone and back. 🙂
Simply go to -> get it now/pictures and video/my pictures to see the pix that you put on the card. I think you are making it more complicated than it ...

You can actually get a data cable with the necessary drivers on ebay. Here is the real one sold by Verizon....
