Charger and bitpim VX9900

I ordered the phone and can't wait to get it... meanwhile, I wanted to ask those who have it few last questions:

1. Is the charger the same as vx8100/vx8300... can something be cut off from the plug, to fit it in 9900 or it's totally different socket?

2. In bitpim, can you use some other phone's settings to manipulate 9900? or do you have to go through filesystem to upload evertying manually?

thanks,

Arkady

1. Nope, its the same as the chocolate vx8500 and vx8600.
2. You can use bitpim and just use vx8500 and it works very easily

you have to select the right com port. I have it on auto detect. Then it detects as other cdma phone, then i just go back and select vx8500. Bitpim has already selected the com port for me, so I just have to change the phone then I am able to do it. I had problems first cause I just selected vx8500 but I just had the wrong com port

Ok. I have bitpim for the mac. I get it to recognize my phone but I can't upload anything. All the choices for what type of files I want to transfer are all blanked out. I am new to bitpim, I don't know anything about drivers, so basically..help. Thanks.
