Is anyone using any type of reception "booster"? I drop calls within my own home in certain areas..maybe within 5 or 6 feet of places where i can receive calls with no problem. any help would be appreciated.

Uh, you can try it, but i don't think it would help all that much to be honest w/ you. Try updating your roaming capabilities by dialing *228 and hitting option#2. Basically, if Verizon has built a newer tower anywhere in teh area, your cell phone will pick up that tower and in increase reception by updating your roaming capabilities. Hope this helps you out a little bit.

What firmware version are you using. V2 actually does help with reception in low reception places...I was have those same issues until i flashed my phoe to v2 firmware.

How do I update the firmware version? I updated the roaming capability but that didn't help.

the easiest way to do it is to go into your local Verizon store, go to the tech support and tell them you want to upgrade to the version 2 firmware. They'll tell you it takes about half an hour or so for them to do and then it'll be done. It's free but of course they still give yo ua receipt and everything. It's not too hard to get done. As anyone else on these forums will tell you, Version 2 firmware upgrade solves a lot of the problems that the phone had the biggest one was if you have a memoyr card and you shut the phone off, then turn it back on, it would always default back to the pictures being saved to the phone. THat got soo annoying.
