The New Sanyo 8400 Looks sweet !

Sep 17, 2006, 3:54 AM
😁 Sanyo gets it every time.
The upcoming 8400 looks very sweet.
All the complaints that I see here in the forum seem pretty pathetic.
Sanyo is #1 in JD Powers and produces the most well made and long lasting if a bit unglamorous cell phones.
If other companies made phones like this, we would all be talking more and complaining less.
Go Sprint!

This phone does indeed look sweet. I've had a trusty 8100 for almost 3 years now. A couple of weeks ago I dropped it in the dog's water dish. 2 days later, it works like brand new. Ugly, maybe, but reliable.

I love the fact the Sanyo 8400 is Bluetooth, takes a micro-SD card for multimedia storage as well a 1.3 megapixel camera. I just wished it supported the AD2P Bluetooth profile.

All hail the 8400!!!!! All my hopes for it have been surpassed as far as features go and the design has the familiar look of quality I really like about Sanyo. Some complain about a boring design that's not very "pretty", but I think it looks cool, plus it's built for function, not to win some cell-phone beauty contest. I'll be buying one as soon as my local Radio Shack gets one in Electric Blue.

What is AD2P? I am new to blue tooth but I got the 8400 today in blue.. It was at my door when I got home from work at 11:00pm.. I had the 8300 and loved it only thing I wanted was more space and bluetooth.. Didn't really care about the sd card I have a Dell DJ MP3 player but I may get a bigger card eventually.. It would be nice when walking in the park not to have to carry both my phone and mp3 player. I haven't decided on which headset to get yet.. But everyone so far loves this phone.. I can't wait to play with it.. It is provisioning now and I can't turn it back on for 30 more minutes had to wait 2 hours.. Rose

check this site's glossary...it says ad2p is stereo bluetooth...and that would be the one thing i think this phone is missing...peter

Thanks I found out what it was from the Sprint Forums.. I don't care about having Bluetooth Stereo Headset right now. I still love the phone and bought a Plantronics headset which works good.. It's a little big but it works well. I also love being able to play MP3's with the micro card. Didn't think I would care too much about that but it is cool and sounds great. I close the phone and put it in my pocket and jam. So now I do want a bigger card.. This Phone Rocks!! I saw a cute facemask on a Cnet clip that was talking about new phones..
