Will Verizon ever drop the a990 price?

Any thoughts on the possibility of a price drop?
Even with the CMOS (not CCD as some said)3.2 megapixle camera, the price seems crazy considering that the PDA phones cost less. I was waiting for a price drop but now wonder if it's a waste, since the a990 is more a specialty phone, not for the masses just technogeeks.

I spoke to a Verizon rep who told me sales of the a990 were not anywhere near the Chocolate. That makes sense, it does cost twice as much and is not advertised as far as I can tell.

Also Samsung has two more CMOS sensors for phones now. A 5 megapixel and a 7 megapixel. Won't these be coming out soon?

First of all don't be an idiot. Just because you can't afford this phone, don't knock down the people who can. I actually returned the Chocolate to get this phone becuase the LG was a terrible phone. with some serious design flaws. I do not even really use the A990's camera but love the other features such as improved screens, great sounding stereo speakers, speakerphone(the Chocolate's software update for this is idiotic), great call quality and reception. Wow, relax, it's really not about affording, just value. And I'm not puting down anyone, I actually would like to purchase the phone I'm just waiting for a price drop.
I thought others past experience may be a guide to whether Verizon will lower the price on a specialty phone.
The comments about CMOS, niche market and the price relation to PDA phones was just to spur conversation about value.
Oh, and I'm a technogeek and don't consider it an insult. Sorry I offended you.

Well, first of all if they drop the price it will problaby cost $250 online and $300 on the store. I don't they are going to drop it any lesser becuase the phone from the company (price) it costs $599.99 excluding taxes and shipping costs. I know that this phone is expensive but I,m going to get it anyway!
